5970 is the fastest card in the world at the moment. If you get 2 of them you won't have to upgrade for a long long time. You'll run even the most demanding games at max graphics effortlessly if you use this card.

No, they are not in the same league. 480 is singled cored, 5970 is dual cored, so naturally 5970 does better in fps, a lot better.

Well, some of us are just enthusiasts. I'm happier seeing 600fps on for example WoW than 200fps, even though it's as smoth as ever. I just get happy by seeing extremely good results. Otherwise I could stick with a GeForce GTX 285, which can handle pretty much any game on the market today.

OMG stock cooler on x4 965, that thing should sound like a vacuum cleaner! :)) My "old" Sapphire 4870 VaporX with an "old" LCD (1024x1048) isn't at it's limits. I'm not a designated fan of nvidia OR ati, but why are they producing so powerful graphic cards? Recently benchmarks showed that the core i7 couldn't keep up with a crossfire config of these 2 beasts, so if nvidia brings out something more powerfull...will we be able to use or see this expensive graphic power?
