Not sure if you heard, red 4 of the red arrows crashed into a river in bournemouth 5 hours ago,. the plane was at 100 feet banking right when it failed somewhere., he had seconds to avoid houses, which he did. But we dont believe he had time to eject,. it crashed half a mile form my house and i saw the plane with a plume of smoke :( my heart says hes ok, but my head says today is a sad day ;)

Very nice tribute...I saw them for the first time at Tyndall AFB about 1 month prior to this accident...very professional team...I salute all the men and women in our armed forces...thank you for what you do...

Why in the world don't these guys wear G-suits? According to what I've read he lost control of the airplane due to greyout, something that could've been avoided if he was wearing a G-suit.
@CaptEm1 They don't wear G-Suits because the F/A-18's G Ratio is very low compared to the F-16's meaning that they can sustain the G's without a G Suit Longer than the Thunderbirds

The Blue Angels fly the F/A -18B Hornet, not the Super Hornet. The latter is a larger (about 20% bigger), heavier version with a longer range but less responsive.
The blue angels are actually selected and trained to fly without G-Suits because the inflation can cause the control stick to jerk and that is bad news if you are flying 3 inches away from another jet. Sadly the even with the use of G-Suits pilots still black out and accidents happen to even the best.
@snoutbill nothing to do with engine failure, the pilot passed at because he pulled to sharply to close to the ground causing a force of about 7g's, he blacked out and lost control. As sad as it sounds, it was more pilot error than anything

The Blue Angels fly the F/A -18B Hornet, not the Super Hornet. The latter is a larger (about 20% bigger), heavier version with a longer range but less responsive.

The blue angels are actually selected and trained to fly without G-Suits because the inflation can cause the control stick to jerk and that is bad news if you are flying 3 inches away from another jet. Sadly the even with the use of G-Suits pilots still black out and accidents happen to even the best.

@snoutbill nothing to do with engine failure, the pilot passed at because he pulled to sharply to close to the ground causing a force of about 7g's, he blacked out and lost control. As sad as it sounds, it was more pilot error than anything
