Windows 7 has a new taskbar layout (aka Superbar), the UI of Windows 7 still has Aero glass interface, the Action Center--the mixture of Windows Security Center and Problem Reports and Solutions where you can help to fix problems for your computer, BitLocker To Go, the Windows Sidebar is gone in Windows 7--but Gadgets are still there by putting them on the desktop, preset Aero themes, new sound schemes (for not just only the Vista sound scheme in Windows 7), UAC improvements and more.
what do you mean? u dont like it cuz its a separate application? everything on ur desk top is an application ANYWAY. like the icons on the back and the taskbar are from explorer.exe i believe..
I agree with some ideas, the one about the new "start menu" it would really be nice. Also about the sidebar, i, like u dont want it to be a separate application, also with gadgets, would be awesome thing to add a "lock gadget position" so it wont move on the screen.
Also about GUI, not UI. they should really rebuild it from scratch. Cuz even with Aero turned off u still get more resource usage than in XP. that is horrid. it slows down the overall performance.
What? Don't dare criticize a tablet pc. Tablet PCs are the best things ever. You don't even know how good they are, I can't wait to have this tablet pc support! Everyone should switch as you will forever ask, why did I ever use that mouse!
Hmm for the sidebar idea im thinking something similar to that half circle idea like integrated in the desktop but have it as liek an interactive wallpaper. Ive seen people have a webpage as a desktop on windows so they could have a desktop paper with the sidebar gadgets integrated.
Good idea's I think they just would need a option to revert it back to the original design for the new users. Major problem with Microsoft is they cannot change too much because a lot of basic users will complain about all the changes and Microsoft will lose a lot of money. From a business standpoint it is a bad idea, which is Microsoft's biggest problem, which is why some of the changes had to be reverted in Longhorn (vista).
Windows 7 is a bug fixed Vista. Well that's how it essentially seems. Microsoft wouldn't f*** up just as bad on a complete revision of a new OS as they did with the one before. But you never know with Microsoft...
The stuff in windows 7 I want is the transparancy and only one version for everyone with everything in included and for a good price, and no UAC account control.
I tend to agree with Samuel on this one, until MS drop their DRM there just isn't a compelling reason for giving them a chance.
Apple has their own form of DRM which is you need certain hardware in order to run the OS and it's applications. It's apple's best way of controlling piracy and this is but one of the reasons that OSX retail copy costs less over Windows OS. However, It is possible for myself to get an OEM full version of Vista for $100.
it's vista ! hahahaha
