ok I had the lg rumor and then like after six months I told my parents that I wanted to upgrade so we went to the sprint store and I wanted to get the touch instinct and then my parents asked if we could get this phone then this sprint guy said oh you have to have internet on your plan to get this phone so then he showed us the plan and it like $60 dollars a month so my parents were like no we will just get another phone so I looked and got the lg lotus in purple and i love it.

If you go to Best Buy you can get it for $129 and you dont have to worry for any rebate. I have this phone,this is a good strong phone,it have many good fetures that the iphone dont have,But of course its trying to be the iphone.I had the htc touch,and I found my self hours in the internet trying to find software for it that did thing like the iphone.Then I got the instinct very close to the iphone and those more,tv,camcorder,better gps turn by turn voice command.

The new iphone is basically the same as the 1st iphone with the exception of (very limited) 3G and GPS. Still no video recorder, no voice commands, no stereo bluetooth, no over the air music downloads (OTA) etc. The old iphone can run the same software as the new one.

Instinct IS open source SDK, you CAN load 3rd apps via download or ones you already have. Since you have the "touch and your friend has the iphone" you should know that they are basically the same, one just has a phone on it. Also, why spend $500+ on a phone that can't record video, which doesn't have true GPS, etc??

I don't understand why all the Iphone lovers get so peeved over the instinct. After the Iphone came out is was a GIVEN others are going to want to improve on it. It is called competition! Do the math, iphone is basically an ipod with a phone. Att's 3G network is 3G-Edge which is very slow. From what I hear 3G might (most likely) not be available until later in the year at the earliest. The new iphone is basically running the same software as version 1. Sprint instinct has had several software updates since it's debut at CTIA. Did I mention the iphone is running the same OS as version one?! Keep in mind, the Instinct will run Rev-A out of the box with a future update to Rev-B.
