A work friend was dying of pancreatic cancer in ICU. She always wanted to hear me play the piano / keyboards. Although in a coma, I asked the nurses if I could bring my keyboards in and play for her. Nurses welcomed it. Played for around two hours....the last song I played was "The Rose." My friend passed away later that night.

Amanda said the words came to her when she was driving on the freeway and she rushed home to write them down after hearing that song about love being a razor...
