  • I think I may have nightmares /sarcasm

  • Yeah, I'm confused. Rockit, Black Hole Sun, No Money Down and Closer (mostly) were fine, but this fairly typical grunge video is too much for MTV...?

There must have been another reason.

  • @fillabunny Which isn't to say I don't like it. I just wish they would have aired it :)

  • You have to remember, this was way back in 1995, things were way different back then

  • Yeah, I'm not really seeing how this was too dark and disturbing to air on MTV.

  • 1:46 is my favorite part.

  • The other video is waaaay more happy xD but i prefer this one more :)

  • Please. If this is scary and dark, then a show about a fat black chick and some other douchebags in a Glee club with that some annoying old bitch who can't act will get so famous to the point where they get a CD and sing Brittney Spears songs on an episode. OH WAIT...

  • @krakendude2 Haha, SOOOO true! Glee is more disturbing than this!

  • can i see gilman street there

  • How is this too dark and disturbing?

  • I..........don't know....

  • its kinda like Jeremy but this is kinda funny

  • @benwilli Well there was a longer video version of this song which was deemed to be dark and disturbing

  • MTV didn't air this but they aired Enter Sandman xD

well apparently this is darker ROFL xD

  • I read that this was too dark/disturbing 4 MTV

  • maybe there only used to seeing black dudes without shirts?

  • @narutokiller9 That's rasist!

  • @vega3410 first its racist*. second thats just from your point of view, in my opinion for a video to be shown on MTV today it must feature a black guy talking down to women while talking about shooting someone with something he stole because their white and they owned slaves 300 years ago.

  • Actually, these guys work with Weird Al a lot. He directed music videos for these guys before. Weird Al is friends with the guys in this band.

-Not to mention that he gets permission for every parody he does before hand even though he doesn't have to by law. The only time he didn't was with Coolio, and that was a misunderstanding.

  • Im glad im not you. No sense of humor.

  • the weird thing is that weird al parodied both videos

  • Stopped reading at number 1.

    Fag spammer.

  • This IS NOT Scary.

  • I believe that was sarcasm...

  • noob

    failure

    stupid

    drunk

    ugly

5 words i would use to describe you

  • Ah, my. I take such a deep offense to what you just said. I don't need five words different words to describe you, because you're just another asshole on the internet.

  • noob

    failure

    stupid

    drunk

    ugly

5 words i would use to describe you

  • The sarcasm was kind of obvious there.

  • I like this video better than the other Lump video.

This is the one I actually saw first.

  • dont understand how its too dark and disturbing, but im def a fam of this song and this video version!

  • From Wikipedia:

"Another video was also made for the song. This version, commonly referred to as "Lump 2" was considered too disturbing and dark to be aired on MTV (reflecting the band's grunge and post-grunge origins)."

...THIS one is too dark and disturbing?

  • Ya I don't get it...times must have been different for MTV back then. Oh how it has changed.

  • this isnt scary dark or disturbing they wouldnt show this but they would show marylen manson that's dumb.

  • I can not comprehend the practicalness of a bass with two strings and a guitar with 3... kinda, you know limits what you can play. A lot.

  • They switched the strings on the instruments to give themselves a signature sound. there fore it makes it more practical than normal. plus a normal guitar song is only played with 2 or 3 strings anyway.

  • love this song

  • Wow, there's poor turtle (Chris basitar that got stolen) in the video. And Chris is shirtless (never seen him after). And there's the setting on fire of the tiny amplifier quoting Beck's "Loser" video!

But I'll always love the other version of the video!

  • i know u guys get all this fan crap but when i first heard your music i didnt really like it (it was peaches and my brother always sang along w/ it) but as i listened to it more and more it really grew on me and i like it alot...great vid

  • Thats was great! Although, I don't think I was supposed to laugh... Sorry!

  • this is a awsome song and video too!

    =]

  • Now this music video is grunge!

  • great video!
