Actually, these guys work with Weird Al a lot. He directed music videos for these guys before. Weird Al is friends with the guys in this band.

They switched the strings on the instruments to give themselves a signature sound. there fore it makes it more practical than normal. plus a normal guitar song is only played with 2 or 3 strings anyway.
