  • they aren't cadets they were campers i run with this company and every year in july we do a firefighter camp they get old used gear that we have laying around and that other companies donate they dont have boots because nobody can give us enough for each camper

  • right to fight damn probies..

  • Theyre obviously training. U can tell by the gear.

  • Not even real firefighters look at the feet, trainers not boots

  • @jonny99981 Read comments - they are cadets.

  • @Viatox Well it said nothing about cadets and you shouldn't of called it firefighter bloopers, should of called it fire cadet bloopers..

  • @jonny99981 Cadets = Jr. Firefighters.

A cadet is a firefighter, just not a full member. Nonetheless, look at the video they're like 13.

  • @Viatox Are you a firefighter then??

  • @Viatox And if they are "real firefighters" why arn't they wearing proper firefighting kit

  • @jonny99981 Yes, I am a firefighter actually. Thanks for asking.

Cadets have no use for full PPE (Personal protective equipment) as they are not permitted into hostile, uncontrolled environments. Thus meaning trainers and older gear is fine for them.

  • @Viatox Yeah well so am i. They should full PPE if they are dealing with real fire and high pressure hoses i think they should atleast have steal toecaped boots not trainers..

  • @jonny99981 I could sit here and argue, but with a propane fire like the one they were using I don't see it being a huge issue where they're wearing trainers. It could easily be just a fun little day camp for a kid for the hour or something.

  • @Viatox Ok.. So what if a kid dropped the hose which is charged on there foot, the parents might su the Fire department and might of had to pay out.

  • @jonny99981 There would obviously be some sort of liability contract signed to be with the cadet program. Plus this doesn't even look like it's a full inch 3/4 line. I think they'll be fine. Too many concerns now-a-days.

  • @Viatox But Still, if they are cadets they should have full PPE. If they have bunker gear and a helmet why no boots

  • @jonny99981 Look at coats and pants, they can fit normal firefighters and if they're like anyone in my department they use old gear that's been retired from our firefighters. I doubt there are any size 3-8 boots to fit young teens.

  • oops...I know Ive done that once VFF

  • jajjaj vaya novatos XDD

  • maybe teach them the right way first, explorer or not no one sits on their knees in front of or behind a burning car. also maybe the instructors shouldn't been the number 2 man. just my thought on it we don't have a explorer program where i work, bad training = bad habits

  • Why is the nozzleman wearing tennis shoes in a live fire exercise???

  • why are they not wearing their fire boots?

  • the person who looses control is wearing shoes.

  • The back up man is pushing with the force of the hose. So naturally the more the backup man tries to push, the worse it makes it. Hilarious how the instructor set them up for failure by failing to tell them to push against the force of the hose.

  • volunteer or not ALL FIREFIGHTERS ARE BROTHERS...ONE GETS PAYED WITH MONEY THE OTHER GETS PAYED WITH KNOWING HE HELP HIS COMMUNITY AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS

  • @kevobum

YOU ARE CORRECT. i WAS A VOL THEN PAID AND RETIRED AFTER 28 YEARS OF PAID. NOW BACK TO VOLUNTEER.

  • "NOT NOW! NOT NOW!" hahaha guy's about to fail the exam

  • not funny actually. im a firefighter and i see this as being very disrespectful.

    not cool

  • hold on dude...go for a fun ride, Cheers.

  • One hand on the grip and one hand on the valve at all times....

  • Looks like a recruit class, to be honest, no firefighter fights a car fire with out SCBA, and in Sneakers, with bunker gear that doesn't fit correctly. I think this is either a recruit class or a public education/awareness event.

  • @xxblackattack08xx This definitely, also is it me, or do those two using the hose look pretty damn small?

  • they are wearing sneakers did anyone else notice that?

  • haha and theyre wearing tennis shoes haha

  • His backup was a small firefighter

  • Feel a bit sorry for the last bloke that walked across the screen to the right lol

  • you know how funny it is to watch bloopers like this? I remember doing that as a kid way back in the late 80's w my dad n friends on the department... spraying 2.5" hose into the streets n "washing" cars as they drove by... hahaha!

  • stupid probie lol

  • Those are fire explorers/cadets btw... they are teens

  • probably a 2 1/2 inch line :p

  • i reallyyyyyy like those tennis shoes they got on, i wish my turnout gear had shoes like that

  • They are kids... tards

  • O.o At least in my area....He's holding the hose wrong....Where I work we do the over the shoulder hold

  • Poor kid. It was either a 6 inch or 3 inch hose with too much pressure. and he didnt dead man the hose. it would have perfectly fine had his partner not screw up. then at the end he couldnt close the bell. lost grip due to being pushed around like a rag doll y the hose.

  • @XxDarkPheonixLordxX

6 inch? holy shit. I wasn't aware they made hand lines in that size...

2 1/2 is probably the largest any one single person could handle, 3 inch with two people shouldn't be that hard, granted it is being held correctly.

Either way, this video was lulzy.

  • @XxDarkPheonixLordxX 6 inch hand line? I think thats both overkill and almost impossible. that looks like 1 3/4" mabey 1 1/2" hand line

  • @XxDarkPheonixLordxX Haha I'm pretty sure that's about a 1 3/4 inch line. lol I guess I could be wrong though

  • thanks for wasting 52 seconds of my life

  • @andyterranbase1 - if you know anything why would you have 300 psi on any fire stream at the nozzle? I could go on but I think you get the hint..... U don't know jack

  • Why are they in sneakers?

  • Its not the Nozzleman's job to hold the hose foreward and thats not only on the job but in the book word for word. He aims and thats it the 2nd man on hose should have a hose strap to assist in holding if He/She cant step up to the plate then improvise, a nice clove hitch or bowline on a bight would work fine as a hose strap, remember to keep a nice 8 ft section of rope in your bunker pants, one day it might just save your life

  • They're clearing training - no need to criticise them unless they fail to learn from their mistakes. No harm done, and hopefully a valuable lesson (of many) learnt.

  • I love a man that can handle his hose haha

  • i can hold it alone and this fag cant hold it even with his friend with him LOL

  • @mejawmeyaw u are the retarded fag - they are studing this ..

  • @tigim88 me 2 ass hole 010 in ur ass

  • @mejawmeyaw then why the fack r u saying bad things to another firefighter ? nah dont ansver i know the ansver - because u are a retarded gay asshole

  • @tigim88 first its answer not ansver .. and im not a gay the gay who want to be a fire fighter and he cant ... hey gay look some thing you like >>>>>>>>>>>> 010 HAHAHAHAAAAAAH

  • @mejawmeyaw hahaha u sux mr.retard : )

  • @tigim88 how many times i have to teach your sorry ass ??? its suck not sux .. and how can i suck and you suck monkey balls ... first time i see a gay who cant spell and he thinks that the man who is talk with is a retarded LOL what a life ... eeeeeew im not reply to your sorry ass anymore

  • @mejawmeyaw haha im the gay ? am i ? - u want to fuck my ass :DDDDD retard ... :)

  • Maybe stating the obvious here, I am assuming that the nearby overhead electric cables are either further away than they look or not live?

  • aaawwwwww man...never cross streams dude...not cool

  • haha good ol wissahickon fire company fire camp

  • What was that in the background? a fart?

  • You commenters realize these are explorers.... right...???

  • @jlm993 are you sure they are even explorers? they are wearing teneshoes. i think they are just like regular civilians just doing because they think its cool

  • nice tennis shoes where are the boots for structure fire

    ajajajjaa

  • we had this happen when learning nozzle control.... a girl maybe with a 20inch waste was learning how heavy and hard it is to control it, and ended up spraying our entire company and instructors lol, this was just when bleeding the air off of the line lol

  • DOES ANYONE ELSE NOTICE HES WEARING SNEAKERS NOT BOOTS???

  • @defender195 Yes.

  • haha, PRICELESS!

  • I wonder how much PSI they had on the 1 3/4 line. I know as a 6'3" 245LBS man, I can struggle holding that at times... I can't imagine even 2 young teen boys doing it.. Good job to at least hold the line and not drop it....

  • @hfxscotsman33 we push 120 psi normally when doing evolutions and we dont have much problems? we are all 17-19 years old

  • Hey better to learn now, that in the real thing. Remember FIRE is alive and moves quick.

  • noobs

  • Judging by the red stripes on their helmets and the fact that they are wearing sneakers with their turnout gear, these guys are junior firefighters. (Ages 14-17)

  • That's how ya learn. You make mistakes and you move on. They'll have plenty of time to get better.

  • @callmewitty I guess the fire is fake too then.

  • haha wow thts great but thats wissahickon fire camp for ya

  • is this firefighter training

  • I would have to say this was a junior firefighter, was wearing sneakers instead of bunker boots. Needed a little more support from the wing man, good job however. This is what training is for, work out your mistakes so you don't do it on scene.

  • I finished my Fireman 101 not to long ago and i gotta say this is a sweet job

  • the nozzle man did have the nozzle tucked in a little too close to him, but still 2nd guy needs to push it forward

  • true, it's the back up man to blame in this case, if he isn't there to support & give a little forward momentum on the hose to take the stress off the nozzle man.. then what's he there for

  • @callmewitty Ok the Jrs should get a lil bit of training just so they get a taste of firefighting and keep them excited but at least have them wear full gears from head to toes. and why are those other people satnding behind the car with 2 Nozzle pointing right at them??

  • @ff621 I am pretty sure that is more like a RIT team made up of real FF is case something happens

  • i kinda had a feeling it was a little kid using the hose he did good!

  • ok so why are the newbies not wearing any fireboots ?

  • Looks like an experiened CalFire crew at their best. At least they didn't kill anyone.

  • yyjjtjrjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

  • I'm pretty sure those are junior firefighters. I assum someone was mad at the other team? haha :P

  • haha i think he got the guy p.s that is a lot of water like i can be drinking that right now u no

  • Is that sneakers the nozzle guy that sprays everyone has on?

  • do you know how hard it is to keep those hoses steady?

  • Ah yes, junoirs putting out a fire. Reminds me of my haz-mat training. Im a proud junoir firefighter and god bless all of my brother and sister firefighters

  • Criticism*

  • So much critism every fire video, WE'RE BROTHERS!!. when did we become so alienated?!?!

  • @JoshyBallz4 I agrre man

  • @JoshyBallz4 nigger

  • @FloppyBaby racist

  • @JoshyBallz4

Since youtube had fire fighter videos... lol jk

  • @JoshyBallz4 your absolutely right, instead of bitching why arent we just constructive so others can learn. For other instructors out there, we teach our newbies to keep thier left hand over the top of the branch nozzel so if they lose footing or the fire flares they can instantly go left for life , one decreasing jet reaction and 2 giving a protective curtain.

  • @JoshyBallz4 Whats up with the WE'RE BROTHERS SHIT!!! fIREFIGHTERS CAN BE SUCH DOUCHE BAGS!!!

  • @vikings844 ;-)

  • @vikings844 Douche bags?? Well aren't you just chipper. Firefighting is all about being a team. We take care of each other as a family to ensure the safety and well being of EVERYONE involved. There is not a single aspect of firefighting that should be done or even attempted alone. This is a very dangerous job and there are many things that we need each other for on the fire ground and off. You get out there and do what we do & then you can run your little mouth buddy.

  • @JoshyBallz4 I agree completely. In addition it definitely looks like a training academy. We had the same "car fire" prop where I went through.

  • somebody's buyin' the beers tonite!!!!!

  • I seen two mistakes here the guy in the back that was suppose to be helping the guy on the hose to keep in in control did just the opposite instead of holding the hose and helping him keep it straight he just went where the guy in front did and the guy in front should have held his footing instead of walking with the hose it's a rookie thing lol That's why they make us practice with a controlled fire first before turning us loose ya know don't think bad of them their still Learning

  • the instructors shouldve put one instructor with the 2 crews, you cant expect little kids to be able to control a hose

  • turning off the nozzle, my mistake

  • See now we are taught to hold the line back from the nozzle so that we have mor control of our aim. So in response to your comment, not trying to be rude, he was holding the hose right.

  • if he was holding the nozzle right, his hand wuld have pushed foward turning the nozzle

  • If you guys are using TFT nozzles they are a bit more easier to control...but it all depends on your partner who is supposed to be backing you up...didn't look like this was the case....

  • these people are not probies there fire explorers which are kids from the age of 14 trough 20 are able to learn the basic in fire training that's why he was not able to control the hose and had the lack of PPE(personal protective equipment)

  • these are explorer/junior core kids, you can tell by the fact he looks like a kid & his helmet is diff from the other ff's. im a volunteer & recently did a drill w/ the hose the other night, it's very powerful & can be hard to control if you don't know what you're doing especially if you have only one kid who happens to be even smaller than you on the hose behind you. we usually have 1 guy using the nozzle & 2 guys behind providing the assistance. he'll learn in time

  • hahahahaha probies

  • but your below probie

  • hahah funny!

  • hahaha...hopefully a probie mistake.

  • alright for those so called fireman who are like most likely explorers

we do the same stuff as you do just cannot go in a burning building those must have been new explorers and didnt get good instruction or were not strong enough

  • Yeah I was a little nervous when I went on my first call. But the guys t my compeny are very friendly. We watch out for each other, treat each other with respect too.

  • dit they wear sportshoes???

  • Kids?

  • fail

  • are those kids?

  • an explorer most likley

  • it wasnt the kid on the nozzle, this is one of the biggest things i cant stand is when your back up guys have their thumbs up there ass, and do nothing for the guy on the nozzle, the nozzle man should be doing no work except moving the nozzle in the right direction

  • Exactly, what happened to the man in the back who should be guiding them out is beyond me. "Oh we're backing up? Lets go as fast as we can and do nothing at all, its getting too hot here"

  • i know exactly wat u mean excluding the thumb up my ass. haha. good one

  • But why couldn't the kid just simply shut down the nozzle?

  • because when theres that much pressure, the nozzle actually jumps forward when you begin to shut it down, so if you dont know what your doin, the nozzle can deff get away from you

  • @codyfdfirefighter181 Yeah they were moving backwards which is the back up guys fault, but the nozzle was going all over the place. The nozzle man has to do some work. It's both of their fault.

  • @codyfdfirefighter181 Well he should at least be able to shut down the nozzle. Just a probie Id imagine...we train to learn. no big deal.

  • @krazzd Ever try to cut off 300 psi under pressure and off-balance?

  • @Andyterranbase1 no because they shouldn't have 300 psi at the tip of an inch and 3/4 hand line. I have however handled one at a more appropriate pressure

  • @krazzd hydrants arent all standard idk what the source was, some hydrants can exceed 500 psi in the heat.

  • @Andyterranbase1 : Not to step on any ones toes. But you'd never run a hand line directly off a hydrant, you'd always run it threw a pumper(via hi-vol), this way you can control the pressure coming from the hydrant and give the fire crews the desired pressure need to complete the task.

  • @codyfdfirefighter181 I agree to the fullest

  • HAHAHAH!!!

  • i think we should give him the 2 in line that extends into the 3 its alot easier to control

  • that funny but hey we all had to start some where right!! in our fire we had to drag a fully charged 4 inch attack line up a tower id like to seem them pull gthat off

  • there is no such thing as a 4 inch attack line maybe a 4inch supply line but your not dragging that charged anywhere

  • im pretty sure the kid is talking about rolling a charged 3 inch supply up 5 flights of stairs. what ya do is make it into a loop outside the door and actually roll the loop up the stairs. takes alot of guys but u can do it lol

  • "5" inch. sry hit the wrong button

  • I can't believe they aren't in full PPE let alone not having SCBA on incase... fire is an unpredictable force you never know what is going to happen. If they are unable to properly operate a handline they should not be anywhere near this training prop. Theres a lot wrong in this video.

  • you know...the key word is TRAINING prop, you learn from mistakes right? so lets just hope the instructor/supervisor pointed out their mistakes and trust that they learned something

  • they're not even recruits, they're juniors. one kid is wearing sneakers

  • lol they look like kids haha.

  • wow thats a fuckin 1 1/2 haha handled by 3 guys

  • The info in the corner needs to be fixed. These are not firemen, they are freakin' teenagers!

  • age has nothing to do whether you are a firmean or not

  • Yes it does. There are minimum age requirements depending on where you are. Besides, these are not firemen, they are kids being shown hose operations in a scenario. They do not have boots issued. Real firemen do not where tennis shoes with their turnouts.

  • idiot

  • Such an intelligent response. You sound a little cranky. What's the matter? Did your kindergarten teacher not let you take a nap yesterday afternoon?

  • Who pee'd in your cornflakes? That comment coming from someone who has never been a firefighter

  • Your second sentence makes no sense at all. Are you trying to say that you've never been a firefighter or that I've never been a firefighter? Grammar is a good thing.

  • you just answered your own question, thanks

  • How about we each stick with what we know? I'll go back to firefighting and you go back to watching "Twister" for the eighth time today. Have a nice day.

  • Keep dreaming pal, the only firefighting you've ever down has been right here on youtube. word of advice, seek some counseling, you have issues dude

  • haha i had a recruit drop a hose on me lol

  • HAHA those are recruits I bet, and thats deffinetly training...He had no clue how to shut down the line. I love it when probies do stuff like that its so funny. We've all been there and theres nothing like a teachable momment.

  • look like a training fire, there really wasn't a huge amount of smoke but they definitely should have been wearing the SCBA's

  • Where in the F&CK is the SCBA?

  • ya u can tell they are young no expierience

  • where is this ??? not in full gear and no air packs or hoods I guess that they as just being showed but still PPE

  • This is a firefighter camp for kids 14 years and older. They are not firefighters. We host this event for recruitment to get juniors when they turn 16. They are wearing sneakers because we don't give them boots, just turnout coats, bunker pants and helmets. We ask them to wear sturdy shoes or boots and really prefer boots of some type - but a lot of them bring what they have.

  • do they do this in jersey? and if so is it at the fire acadamies?

  • you almost never see this New Jersey, I'm a certified instructor here and our live fire (even simulated) training is never done by minors ever.

  • lol happens to everyone, im still waiting for it to happen to me

    <
