They call 911 to report actual sightings and touchdown activity and the possible path the tornado may take. Some phone systems have advanced warning alerts for areas so that people can take adequate shelter.
Worst day of my life, never want it to happen again. Driving and then everything turn pitch black to where you can't see anything is sssoooo not fun. t_t

You guys are great at finding tornadoes and getting in position, but you are terrible videographers! I'm so sick of hearing screaming, etc. If you want to point out what something is, fine. You could do it on a voice-over or in post-production with arrows, etc. And for God's sake, stop ruining the sound with your screaming! I would have loved to have heard more of the roar of that tornado but you ruin it with your girl-like shrieking.
The first twister in this video must have been the big one in Tuscaloosa. That's probably the scariest looking tornado ever filmed. It's almost as if the funnel were the devil himself on a rampage, and the sub-vortices were like little demons flying around it. Very scary to see it on film......but hard to imagine actually seeing something like that in person and not have a heart attack.

Probably the most powerful tornado of the outbreak. This was an EF-5, the Tuscaloosa tornado was an EF-4 tornado when it trekked through the downtown region. You can just tell by looking at the edges of these types of storms (like this tornado) that they are some serious business. It could have been worse if this tornado had of hit an urban area, thank goodness it didn't. Still, it's just incredible.
I live in Alabama, not Tuscaloosa, but it was terrifying, to say the least. There were tornadoes and storms all over Alabama that day. I got caught out in my dad's Crown Vic on the way home from work when the sirens started going off and spent 3 hours in a gas station before it was safe to travel.

Fake? I lived in the middle of all these storms. My town was lucky enough to be spared but I think the frozen teddy bear and mattress in my front yard would be enough for anybody to beleive it is real. I saw 3 tornados they looked just like that.

You guys are great at finding tornadoes and getting in position, but you are terrible videographers! I'm so sick of hearing screaming, etc. If you want to point out what something is, fine. You could do it on a voice-over or in post-production with arrows, etc. And for God's sake, stop ruining the sound with your screaming! I would have loved to have heard more of the roar of that tornado but you ruin it with your girl-like shrieking.

The first twister in this video must have been the big one in Tuscaloosa. That's probably the scariest looking tornado ever filmed. It's almost as if the funnel were the devil himself on a rampage, and the sub-vortices were like little demons flying around it. Very scary to see it on film......but hard to imagine actually seeing something like that in person and not have a heart attack.

That first one was actually near Philadelphia, MS. The Tuscaloosa tornado didn't form until later.

Probably the most powerful tornado of the outbreak. This was an EF-5, the Tuscaloosa tornado was an EF-4 tornado when it trekked through the downtown region. You can just tell by looking at the edges of these types of storms (like this tornado) that they are some serious business. It could have been worse if this tornado had of hit an urban area, thank goodness it didn't. Still, it's just incredible.

I live in Alabama, not Tuscaloosa, but it was terrifying, to say the least. There were tornadoes and storms all over Alabama that day. I got caught out in my dad's Crown Vic on the way home from work when the sirens started going off and spent 3 hours in a gas station before it was safe to travel.

These tornado's happen 2 alot of people but what people arent understanding is how bad these affected PEOPLE! There R still missing people that will never be found because the tornado's took them, Please understand that those were someones mom or dad or brother, sister, a child even! Gone! they even found body pieces in tree's. Why would someone leave comments like the tornados happened to punish the south! Fake? I lived in the middle of all these storms. My town was lucky enough to be spared but I think the frozen teddy bear and mattress in my front yard would be enough for anybody to beleive it is real. I saw 3 tornados they looked just like that.
