  • the best

  • these are LATE passes for if I can't square my hips to break my opp's delarive posture from the start?

Tenta a sorte....

  • time to start drilling

  • Great stuff man. Thanks for the demonstrations.

  • These are nice Ken. Thanks for sharing them.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I subscribed straight away & look forward to seeing more. I'd like to see some no-gi escapes from this position as I wrestle a few guys no-gi that like to do this type of guard.

  • Great stuff my friend! Thank you for the great, informative video!

  • i need closed guard passes, can any1 help me out?

  • go to class lol

  • His partner wasn't even applying the De La Riva guard correctly.

  • Is that Bill Algeo?

  • why would he not insert his other hook on passes 1 and 3 and just butterfly sweep you to his left side. I don't like these passes. kinda sloppy..

  • lol good luck trying to reach his back leg with yours for a butterfly sweep

  • lol I hopr ur a troll cause if ur serious than its just sad. anyways go go at making my laugh so hard ha ha ha... dude ever tried doing stand up??

  • you probably just suck.

  • the first requirement is to not be a retard.

  • lmao

  • nice

  • very risky this guard pass... I'd prefer to get the half guard with another technique.

  • What part is risky?

  • @kenprimo The second option, when you step over the guy will go deep half. I used to do this but those people who like playing deep half usually wait for this. Get caught in this position with them and might as well roll over, you're gonna get swept.

  • @kenprimo I think (IMHO, with utmost respect) that the gripped right arm at 1:00 is risky. It may jeopardize the base. If the opponent switches his other foot to a hook, your arm is locked and you may get sweeped. Yet the variation you've shown right after, at 1:31,prevents that, since there's no grip from the opponent; actually, I find the variation beautiful and a lot safer. I've been using it a lot, except with a hold to the opponents' leg.

BTW, nice videos. Greetings from Rio.

  • @ramonsilva1 Of course it's a little risky. You're already late. Of course you'd rather not have the guy grabing all over you. But when it happens, you need to know what to do. I've seen alot of passes from here and these are really nice.

  • nice
