@msariff131 I think he means there´s a lot of power coming from the engines. Of course, all performance is calculated and no takeoff is going to be "underpowered" unless you make a mistake...
When I fly between Dubai and London every couple of months I often fly the BA106 which always parks right next to this same return flight from Dubai to Frankfurt, as always it leaves at 2.15am 20 minutes before the BA106
As I was boarding the BA Jumbo I noticed next to us the name on the Lufthansa Jumbo so I said out loud "check the name, the planes called Dresden' and this passenger behind me commented saying "well that's a middle finger to the British" LOL
i don´t like people who says that airbus sucks...i think that boeing are better than airbus but i think too that Airbus A380 and A346 are cool so please don´t say that airbus suck
If it weren't for airbus, boeing would never develop new innovative aircraft, and if it weren't for boeing, airbus would never develop new innovative aircraft.
nice take off. love the 747- in first class more. anyway nice vid, a good hobby too. better then drugs or drinking. make your drink root bear in life, and you will have no hassels. hey post more vids.
The pitch attitude on initial climb-out is closer to 15 degrees. Regardless, this video gives a great view of something usually hard to see- most big transports (all of the Boeings) briefly apply the brakes on the main gear tires when "gear- Up" is selected. This ensures the main gear tires aren't rotating as they enter the gear wells. Watch the smoke from the main gear at about 25 seconds into the video.
Well said, though I've seen this also on another video..the smoke you describe is actually brake dust - Carbon, which falls straight down. Smoke would be wispy and just disappear immediately.
i love that filming as they fly up, the angle makes it look like it's imminent stall but the pratt and whitneys just do their thing and get it airborn. plus the angle makes it look steeper, from the cockpit it wouldn't look like a steep angle, only about 10 degrees pitch up
@GreekTragedi I think he means there´s a lot of power coming from the engines. Of course, all performance is calculated and no takeoff is going to be "underpowered" unless you make a mistake...
I know everyone thinks its Sydney because its a lot more popular and people unlike yourself your are educated. But I'm joking, Red Hill and Nicholls is two suburbs in Canberra, about 20km apart (like 15 miles) and its the kind of joke now one understands and I myself would find amusing. Don't worry, cya.
what was so powerful about that take off lol. i mean it is A power take off, but was the same take off compared to any other 747! but still a very nice capture, especially the smoke that came out of the wheels.
This is obviously terrorist material.

That's just brake dust coming off the wheels.Brake dust is just a cause from the speed brakes when the plane landed.

What's a "powerful takeoff"? You mean some take offs are underpowered?
GreekTragedi 3 years ago 29
you know what he means, dont be awkwared =]
manchesterbob92 2 years ago
@GreekTragedi ya some aircraft dont really need 100% power to take off . But most all the time they use 100% just to be safe in any aircraft

I did not knew that they used a 747 on a so short trip. Frankfurt to Dubai is short for a 747.

they use 747's from tokyo to osaka. thats like an hour in the air.

From Nicholls to Red Hill they use an A380....

i dont think that it is short for a 747 anyway the trip from frankfurt to dubai takes 5 hours..!!
7udacris 3 years ago
Yes, but they could perhaps use a A330 for example. In Norway we use a 737 800 from Oslo to Dubai
th992000 3 years ago
yeah you're right but there are many passengers that would like to travel to dubai so thats why they take an 747-400.
7udacris 3 years ago
Yeah, it was that what I imagined me;)!
