Why the hell was I placed with my biological father who, after 13 years of disappearing and never giving a shit (I had never met the guy) suddenly hears that I'm in foster care and suddenly wants to be a dad? This same man had multiple warrants for his arrest in multiple states for drug trafficking, domestic violence, and burglary (including Washington state!).

My Lord! My sister was special needs, but she died 2 years ago because of pneumonia. My mom and dad would've NEVER hurt her like the "foster parents" hurt poor Danieal. omg, i have a friend who's kids got taken away. she didn't even do anything to her kids! her husband and she are great parents and because of one small accident, the stupid CPS took their children (3 children) and put them into foster home. one of them is with a biological relative but the other 2, who are younger than 3 years of age, are with a foster family. i surely hope that they don't endure any kind of abuse or pain.
CPS doesn't even give a damn in the town where I live. I have witnessed horrible cases of abuse in my town but CPS does nothing! Even though there is evidence of abuse! It's so hard for me to listen to people complain about how CPS always takes kids out of perfectly good families. Maybe there are some cases like that but alot of the time it's just the exact opposite. Especially if the child is anything other than white!

Sometimes we are too stupid to notice other people, I had a neighbor who was murdered by her husband, I was 11 at the time, couldnt really help...when you see a homeless it doesnt have to b a child for YOU to reach out! I was driving n came to a car who stopped brutally n honked switching to the left lane and when I stoped to avoid hitting this car I looked over and it was due to a homeless guy trying to get by..theres no side walk there and I live in Co. so it was about 8 degrees out.
I find it interesting that there's so many cases where CPS has made huge errors, and get away with it. I've heard of one involving a family I know where the CPS worker wanted to take two of the three girls because of suspicions surrounding a previous incident with the father. THAT BITCH TRIED TO FORCE THE MOM TO LEAVE HER DYING CHILD'S DEATH BED TO TELL HER THEY WERE TAKING THE OTHER TO GIRLS WHEN ONE THEY'D DONE NOTHING TO THOSE GIRLS, AND TWO THE CPS WORKER HERSELF WAS A CHILD ABUSER!!!

I had a friend in Forster Care and her Forster mother tried to kill her to collect her death insurance to buy herself new clothes. They never believed her and one day she didn't come to school and my teacher told me she never woke up that morning, she was dead and her Forster Mother got away with it!

I refused(in a very rude and gratifying manner).A couple months later I let him stay the weekend with his mom,that Monday I got a call at work saying that DFACS had gone to the school and picked him up....

@Shewolf134 Because helping means getting directly involved. It means time, and effort, and sometimes putting a strangers child above your own. Alot of parents are worried that getting involved in such matters will harm their own family. Alot of people don't want to take responsibility for kids who arn't their own, alot of people are afraid that intervening will harm the child further, especially when the home life of said child isn't always fully known.

I barely hear the good CPS does for children, but it always seems like the worst stories outweigh more than the good. In New York, ACS came under fire for the Nixzmary Brown, Elisa Izquierdo and other cases, because they missed many opportunities to save the children.
My kids were taken from me in around 1984-85 in Josephine County. I took them to court and won - the judge even telling CSD they overstepped their authority and that their job is to help families with problems stay together. Still it took me something like a year to actually get my kids back after the hearing.
My daughter was sexually molested by Ila Green, her foster father and had been placed in his home despite previous reports that he was a child molester. No one would agree to help me do anything about it. My son was left in a crib alone crying for hours on end. It's horrible and yet no one ever believes, when you try to tell them how the system works, that something is very very wrong with it.
This whole injustice...I am outraged. I am outraged and angry at the court system surrounding this all. As someone who got flung into foster care and taken from two able parents I'm sure that this very thing might've happened to them and I as a kid.
CPS is a multi billion dollar industry. They don't protect children! Many of the children could have remained in their own homes. Many more could be with relatives. Children have a price tag on their heads and that is what their driving force is. The money needs to be taken out of the equation. It is time to end the bonus system, the tax credits, and the adoption subsidies and allow children to be taken care of by people who love them not be people making money off of them
About the judge who insructed the social worker to not answer questions if she was uncomfortable...I don't watch In Session that often but don't you have to answer a question on the stand even when it does make you uncomfortable?

Wow! CPS is terrible! I live in Canada, and we have CAS (Children's Aid Solciety)... and they are not like this around here. The foster homes and families go through like a 3 month period of investigations and interviews before even getting to be a foster care family. They are also required to get a background check first. It's terrible that things like CPS even exist! SOS

This may vary by state, but I know that in Texas, same sex parents can both foster and adopt children. At least for the past fifteen years, possibly longer. Also, children would never be removed from a home (or even investigated) due to parents being the same sex.
On another note, judges have the final say in these cases. And in Texas, they ruled against the state frequently. I'm sure the system is far from universal in its application across states though.

VERY wrong. CPS never did anything to see our side. They just believed his lies about my mom. It finally all ended once I came of age and told them what the real deal was. I hope things get better for you. I think they should see both sides of the story first, and the child's side, before taking any action.

CPS don't want to remove kids from their families, they do so because evidence shows that the children are at serious jeopardy in the care of their parents/caregivers. This guy is making a lot of assumptions. In my State, judges often side with the parents if CPS cannot show adequate evidence that the children are in jeopardy. And in Neglect and Sexual Abuse cases it is even harder, as there oftenn isn't physical evidence.

CPS is a machine. Though I feel they do save a lot of children from homes equal or worse to what we've seen in this video, there never HAS to be a portion of kids that end up in places like this. They need to be more personalized, they need to care about these kids, rather than marking them up a statistics. In the late 1980's I was the President of VOCAL,( Victims Of Child Abuse Laws) in Erie County. The meetings were very small and we had no outside support. The courts/CPS always acted first and asked questions later. To late for our little ones, some too young to ask/answer questions.

I have to say not all CPS workers are monsters, in the case with my nephews and niece they made the right decision in giving the children to my mother. Although it did take them about 2 times before they got it right. The try and keep the children with the mother/father because it's in the best interest of the child. The third caseworker *won't say her name* was an angel, she didn't believe any of the stuff the mother said and made the decision to step up and remove the kids from their mom.
These children's services departments all over the world are making the same dreadful calls as shown here.
Most of the problem stems from "social workers" not communicating to each other about cases, one "expert" says this, and the other says that. Guidelines seem to be very vague and case workers dont do follow ups.

This is what CPS foster parents are capable of and OFTEN do to the detriment and death of children they are said to be "protecting".... CPS workers MUST be held for trial, and presumed to be guilty, just as they do to NCP, who are treated as though they are assumed to be guilty when kids are removed without , WithOUT a trial. I applaud you for bringing awareness to the public. I have friends that work in CPS and they admit to being overwhelmed with cases of neglect and being restrained themselves by rules and regulations of the service. One was fired for bucking the system to make arrangements that were in fact in the "best interest" of several children under her supervision. This is a travesty and the children need someone to be a voice for them.

I find it interesting that there's so many cases where CPS has made huge errors, and get away with it. I've heard of one involving a family I know where the CPS worker wanted to take two of the three girls because of suspicions surrounding a previous incident with the father. They never believed her and one day she didn't come to school and my teacher told me she never woke up that morning, she was dead and her Forster Mother got away with it!

I refused(in a very rude and gratifying manner).A couple months later I let him stay the weekend with his mom,that Monday I got a call at work saying that DFACS had gone to the school and picked him up....

Alot of parents are worried that getting involved in such matters will harm their own family. Alot of people don't want to take responsibility for kids who arn't their own, alot of people are afraid that intervening will harm the child further, especially when the home life of said child isn't always fully known.

My kids were taken from me in around 1984-85 in Josephine County. I took them to court and won - the judge even telling CSD they overstepped their authority and that their job is to help families with problems stay together. Still it took me something like a year to actually get my kids back after the hearing.

Children have a price tag on their heads and that is what their driving force is. The money needs to be taken out of the equation. It happened to me in 2005, when they took my 8 year old son because I was seen walking around Dallas Oregon, not far my car. When I got back to my home and collected my son from my neighbor that I had left him with, 3 cops and two CPS lady workers came to take my son. Wow! CPS is terrible! I live in Canada, and we have CAS (Children's Aid Solciety)... and they are not like this around here. The foster homes and families go through like a 3 month period of investigations and interviews before even getting to be a foster care family. They are also required to get a background check first. It's terrible that things like CPS even exist! SOS

This may vary by state, but I know that in Texas, same sex parents can both foster and adopt children. At least for the past fifteen years, possibly longer. Also, children would never be removed from a home (or even investigated) due to parents being the same sex.
On another note, judges have the final say in these cases. And in Texas, they ruled against the state frequently. I'm sure the system is far from universal in its application across states though.

VERY wrong. CPS never did anything to see our side. They just believed his lies about my mom. It finally all ended once I came of age and told them what the real deal was. I hope things get better for you. I think they should see both sides of the story first, and the child's side, before taking any action.

CPS don't want to remove kids from their families, they do so because evidence shows that the children are at serious jeopardy in the care of their parents/caregivers. This guy is making a lot of assumptions. In my State, judges often side with the parents if CPS cannot show adequate evidence that the children are in jeopardy. And in Neglect and Sexual Abuse cases it is even harder, as there oftenn isn't physical evidence.

CPS is a machine. Though I feel they do save a lot of children from homes equal or worse to what we've seen in this video, there never HAS to be a portion of kids that end up in places like this. They need to be more personalized, they need to care about these kids, rather than marking them up a statistics. Taking a child from someone who is having trouble supporting them and putting them in a machine like system with no real heart for the child... There is something deeply wrong here!

In the late 1980's I was the President of VOCAL,( Victims Of Child Abuse Laws) in Erie County. The meetings were very small and we had no outside support. The courts/CPS always acted first and asked questions later. To late for our little ones, some too young to ask/answer questions.

I have to say not all CPS workers are monsters, in the case with my nephews and niece they made the right decision in giving the children to my mother. Although it did take them about 2 times before they got it right. The try and keep the children with the mother/father because it's in the best interest of the child. The third caseworker *won't say her name* was an angel, she didn't believe any of the stuff the mother said and made the decision to step up and remove the kids from their mom.

Most of the problem stems from "social workers" not communicating to each other about cases, one "expert" says this, and the other says that. Guidelines seem to be very vague and case workers dont do follow ups.
It's shameful.

i just went to court and told the judge that my little girls biological father never called her or was around her to her he was a stranger i had to beg HAD TO BEG for supervised visits he evern threatned to kidnap her from me and u know what that bastard of a judge told me that thats always said in court by parents ...calling me a liar ITS JUDGES LIKE THIS THAT CHILDREN ARE KILLED EVERY DAY !!! the judges lose their jobs if they rule against and they get bribed for every child they put in the system. these are all top level criminals and responsible for all the crimes agains those children.

This is what CPS foster parents are capable of and OFTEN do to the detriment and death of children they are said to be "protecting".... CPS workers MUST be held for trial, and presumed to be guilty, just as they do to NCP, who are treated as though they are assumed to be guilty when kids are removed without , WithOUT a trial. Beheading is too good for CPS workers who lie, perjuror themselves.

I applaud you for bringing awareness to the public. I have friends that work in CPS and they admit to being overwhelmed with cases of neglect and being restrained themselves by rules and regulations of the service. One was fired for bucking the system to make arrangements that were in fact in the "best interest" of several children under her supervision. This is a travesty and the children need someone to be a voice for them.
