originally to work did not mean to be a slave.
Slavery came much later and unfortunately "rabota or aboda' started to be associated with slavery.

The best matches are the stunning similarities between the grammars of "Semitic' and Slavic languages but also many words survived too in spite of time and geographical distances.

Read my comments properly.It is so much foolish to ask who came first to India.it is not present day India.
Dravidian associated with South India long AGO. while Aryans only in North India.In ancient Vedas,Rishis warn not to go beyond Vindyas,the start of South India which very big mountain.
As per Drvaidian literature,Sage Agastya around 10,000 years gone into South India and gave them language who never returned again to North which are well depicted in Sanskrit literature.

The word "Zena" is pronounced the same and has the meaning in Semitic and Old Church Slavic languages.
Semitic "Har" means mountain. Slavic "Hora, gora" obviously came from Semitic 'har"
Semitic "Neshek" means weapon. Slavic "Noz, nozik" (knife).
Slavic "rabota" (labor) came from Semitic "aboda or avoda" and related to it Semitic "Rabbi or Ravi"
The Poles say "mezczysna" slightly different from the Russian pronunciation.
