@PLABONDRAGONZ go to sound recorder..where:at the super bottome left of ur laptop or computer click n search:) then record but if u wanna make sure it will be where u want it on ur vid i suggest to watch it while recording:) then save it then go to window live movie maker and add the video then the music:)

When I got my new laptop I downloaded the old version of this because I couldn't work out the new one. I just got a new HD camcorder, and the files aren't supported in the old version, but this has helped me work out this one, finally. Thank you <3

Thanks so much. I was so confused I'd never seen an interface like this. One question, after a few minutes of editting, the video starts skipping whenever I try to play it there's nothing but the timeline moving. Then it usually works again for a few minutes if i close it then reopen it.

I get this error when I try to upload from this new version of MM: 0x800488fa. What is it and how can I upload without getting this error? When I upload directly to YouTube.com, YouTube tells me that they can't read the format of the video. Any help to change the format so YT can accept my upload?

I have installed Windows Movie Maker 2.6, on Windows 7. Which is the same version that is on Windows XP. And it works perfect on Windows 7. And is better than Windows Live Movie Maker. Most software made for Windows XP will work on Windows 7. Andrea Borman.

Hi Rich.... great tutorial... you have a nack for it. I learned some new things.... BUT

I was/am hoping to find an answer you didn't cover.

How to make a fade out (or transition out) at the END of the last item in the movie.

If the movie ends with a "hard cut" it kind of diminishes the "polish" of the rest of the movie. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just got a new laptop with Windows Lilve Movie Maker on it and am just getting around to using it. I loved Movie Maker on my desk top taht was teh XP version. @DirtySoda Well... before you put the picture on Movie Maker you have to go to 'My Documents' and then go to 'Images' then go to ur picture that you want to change then side click on it then you go to 'edit' then it should go to 'Paint' with the picture on it then in the top it says 'Select' Then you click it then you can take out the part that you want!!!!!

Loaded projects won't work. I tried both opening by the saved project file and opening

WLMM and opening the project. The preview screen is black and no sound but the bar is

moving on as if it's playing something when I click play. And also loading the project,

the pc gets really slow as if it's a virus. I scanned both virus and malware in safety mode.

With MM, it is very easy to change the transition time or add and remove mulitiple video effects. But I have not find a way to do the same with LMM other than UNDO.
