Nice shortfilm, 'thogh I must say, one hundred years of solitude is not a book about war, it relates the story of a family through one hundred years, in which war happens, but is not the most important point in the book. As Gabo said, he had a compromise not only with his political reality but also with his complete reality :)
Great Cinematography! Although there's not a very accurate portrayal of marriage here. If it were accurate.. it would've shown the guy working out in the field for hours then he comes in and sits down to listen to the radio (in that era) then his wife tells him to "get off his LAZY ASS and wash the dishes!". Then they have to "talk" about how he needs to help around the house more. The only way he's getting pussy is if he takes her out, buys her new shoes, feeds her, & she gets drunk! = :(
