  • You can nose dive brakeless. You just pedal forward with your natural foot forward and push your bars.

  • wow all these tricks are so popular!

  • Tell me the physics in the feathering i mean what does it do ur in air its so dumb just push down feathering is just his way of saying idk how to do it

  • @TheXxAfflictionxX basically, it slows your back wheel and the momentum the wheel had goes into your frame and you lean forwards

  • Do you press your front or back brakes

  • i swear a unturndown is an invert :S :L

  • Nice video. Do you ever see Mountain bikes on trails like this? A downhill course I ride regularly has a dirt jump section to the side that I've been curious about.

  • @jscook55 yeah but i would recommened a dirt jump frame such as this one watch?v=qL7Fj299We8

  • @VodkaRussianNuclear - can you post that link again?

  • is that robby morales??

  • haha jerry bagley I used to ride with him. damn I am old this looks like it was shot on VHS...

  • why dont they where helmets?

  • @TheSpareRIP LoL, They dont need too, Duh Retard!!

  • @ZentifiedHD yeah everyone needs to were helmets

  • I ride Bikeless.

  • Use helmet :D

  • 240p we meet again.

  • i ride chainless brakeless and seatless. WOT

  • how to brakes possible slow you down in mid air?

  • I've watched literally so many biking videos trying to learn how to do this shit before I go break all my bones.

  • @bmxracer848 does a lower seat help it fly a tad smoother lol or is it jus so u dont hurt urself?

i usually have it 10 inches high

  • i dont get how tapping the break does anything if your in the air?

  • hey r u familiar with any dirt trails on long island?? i noticed ur shirt lol. . . just a place i can ride for fun and practice

  • hahah 2 children....lol

  • dont need brakes to nose dive..... these arent birt bikes

  • press 5

  • 2:40 thats what she said

  • @bmxracer848 why?

  • @bmxracer848 Your*

  • 1:48 ur missing a peg!

  • They look like they just coast off em. No bunny hop, but maybe they do.

  • Do you bunny hop off these jumps or do the jumps just set you up..?

  • hey man jw..me and my friend r just starting to ride trails we have moongooes would they be ok for getting air?

  • @pc404mo lol he has enough lard to not need a helmet

  • dont ride with pegs for dirt.

  • @uKFclan that's some good advice...just wish you told me sooner =( haha

  • Were is this?

  • aggree with highonthemusic1 but it helps lol

  • their good and notice a good bike deosnt make you a pro!

  • Right foot forward x-up right hand clockwise fatty!

  • @xNzR It doesn't matter...

  • didn't know fat people could jump

  • @bcballer13 your cool.

  • "once you get in there you should be ready to pull out"

  • those are the fontana trails :D

  • brain bucket man .....brain bucket

  • i dont like you

  • 1:00 pause rofl

  • I dirt jump all the time nd it makes no differance having no brakes and brakes. That's whot I found!!!.(had brakes before) lol plus itz upto the type of person if they want a high saddle or if you have the saddle slamed .like I've my saddle slamed nd me bro has a high saddle so yeah lol

  • how would tapping the breaks make the bike dip? I thought you just push the handle bars down a bit? o.O

  • @AshhBoyy Read the top voted comment. Basically, the force of your wheel stopping transfers weight to the front of the bike.

  • if you suck, tap your break, if your not a pussey, dont tap your breaks

  • if they stacked it their seat would go right up their ass

  • when u tap ur breaks in mid air.. it makes the bike change its angle??

  • what if u dont have back brack ?

  • And thats why i have a back brake.

  • wat if u cant hold ur brakes at the same time ur jumping??

  • @bmxracer848 can someone please explain what's the big deal with having ur seat as low as possible....I stopped bmx like 6 or 7 years ago so im still old school with the seat up for barspinableness, and while im at it skinny jeans.....what's with them....you all look like monkey emo's.....all us bmxers have skinny (well society thinks so anyway) chicken legs, why exaggerate it!? I don't understand that either......so in the words of pauline hanson..............please explain!!??

  • @davedolby85 seats:keeping them lower keeps them out of the way. its still ok for barspins.

tight pants: i would rather look like a monkey than look like a shlumpy simpleton(normal pants) or a wigger(baggy)

  • @bmxracer848 this is old shit.

  • Hahaha your shoes are weird

  • @bmxracer848 Why does it matter if you have a high seat or low, i have a kinda high seat and am sure you no fucking clue about BMX

  • @ryan795 if even do a bunnyhop you might be going to the hospital to get the seat out of your ass

  • im not a perfetional or any thing. But you can just shoot your body forward/ leaning. i ride of preaty nice jumps and i just lean down more and pump hire so i have more time do lean down.

  • they say tap your brakes to bring your knose down.. but how do people that ride breakless bring their knose down ?? i ride breakless, and i have no problem bringing it down.. i dont think you need to tap your brakes, you just need to learn how to control your bike

  • Funny how you don't see any of these "lower your seat!!" kids posting any videos of themselves jumping

  • @helipilot727 Actually its for safety, its so you dont hit it when you land, as you need to sink down to absorb the shock so you dont fal off/damage your bike.

  • @helipilot727 This videos old, before the smaller sprocket, slammed seat phase we have now. im sure if these guys still ride there with it.

  • When u start riding trails do u just go for it with no practice or anything

  • take your pegs off when jumping

  • @bmxracer848 they should but it kinda depends on what you think is most comfortable.but still they should lower it a little

  • great video guys !

  • @bmxracer848 You do realize this is from mid 2008. It's all about preference. That's like me telling you to ride wider bars.

  • @bmxracer848 they don't have to lower their seats more becauce it will make no difference at all !they are low enough so that you don't crush your balls in the seat once you land a jump and they are high enough to offer you a place to seat if you get tired or overwork your legs!

  • he's good but he needs a "in the now" bike~!

  • breakless!!!!!!!!!

  • tell me what should we do if our only ramps were taken down?

  • Forget about you brakes. Just lean forward. Don't use your brakes for anything more than speed checks between jumps.

  • what if you dont have brakes

  • @JakobSwainston123 Most trails riders use brakes, more commonly only a back brake. Brakeless is usually a style better for park

  • @Kabadoo1 yeah true. i ride whatever i can. i admit i still have alot to learn, but practice makes perfect

  • Please... Anyone can name drop. I ride mountain bikes/dirt jumpers only. If anyone here "actually" rides, they'll agree, one would never NEED brakes for pumping jumps. I know it works, but its a waste of concentration and most kids watching this video are new at riding. Their gonna take their concentration off the jump and wreck. How is it possible any skilled rider doesn't have brakes yet still pulls off point earning tricks? Just saying, this video is a waste of time.

  • Please... Anyone can name drop. I ride mountain bikes/dirt jumpers only. If anyone here "actually" rides, they'll agree, one would never need brakes for pumping jumps. This video is sending out wasteful info, period. Go ride, go boost, and learn how to pump without brakes. Why do you think half the guys, including myself, run brake less? Go jump up Robby's butt, if hes good at what you say he is then he's an idiot for posting this. The video is a waste kids, please don't take anything from it.

  • @92drls why are you refering to people as one ya posh twat

  • Lots of people dont run brakes on trails!?

  • @92DRLS lol yeh how dose using your brakes in mid air help?

  • @MonoplyMan99 i was wondering the same thing, you wheel isnt touching anything so why should it matter if you brake in mid air (im not saying their wrong) im just saying i dont understand why it would make a difference AT ALL!

  • lol don't use your brakes, just get better and use your arms and legs, fatty

  • @92drls

hey little kid, the "fatty" is robby morales, the guy who basically made FITbike co, and now owns CULT bikeco. so every time you stroke yourself to a dakota roche or chase dehart video, give robbie morales a kiss goddnight...faggot

  • fuck you

  • 0:36 lolol

  • The tips at beginging help me loads thanks boys!

  • l.i.b tee shirt hell yeah son

  • what bike do you have?

  • Nosediving is all about the takeoff and a neutral position. I never tap my brakes, and neither do most of the top pros. Please do not believe this guy and count on your brakes to bring your nose down while on a bicycle. This is a motocross technique. This guy just had nothing better to say.

  • helps to know with the brake feathering.

:) thanks for the tips xD

  • yo what state is this in???!!!!

  • Where is this?

  • i would love to hit thow jumps

  • I cant fatham why you dont wear helmets. Good video but it's not clever to not wear helmets

  • where do people get there dirt?

  • @jimmysetcer where do they get dirt"....................really?maybe u shouldnt be alowed out by yourself.hahahhaa

  • you must wear helmets

  • @gdlon or u will die!!!

    and ul murder someone too

  • Wish there was a dirt track where i live, we dont even have a skate park lol

  • @peteftwomg where we live we get ticketed and go to court for riding our skatepark on bikes. Just build a course in an abondoned field of something. It is not very hard to do.

  • @peteftwomg then build a track at your house, that's what I did. weee problem solved.

  • first tie i tried i turn down i di something wrong and leg got stcuk under the seat and i bail and broke my seat betr the seat than my leg

  • some times u guys r doing turn downs

  • @TheMegaPaintballer no shit sherlock

  • @bobbyBMC : uhm, i am a fairly stupid kid who knows nothin about science or stuff like that, but if i was to hit the brakes in the air wouldnt there be no effect because i am in the air?

  • @mrbmxlover1 no, that's exactly what he said and what the guys in the video said

  • @mrbmxlover1 imagine that you stop the propeller of a helicopter. the helicopter will keep spinning

  • nice trails and advice editing and camera work not so good

  • siik jump

  • how to footjam tailwhip.

you guys aint ready for this sick video. check the cahnnel ;)

  • NOONE WITH HELMET!!

  • And not a single helmet...

  • wow i haven't seen the 60s trails in forever. Those things were a blast

  • pretty cool jumps

  • @justViewingNotMaking - when the bike is in the air, it is acting as one body. As either of the wheels accelerate or decelerate it affects the motion of the entire body. Just like when a car accelerates from the back tires spinning, the front of the car rises up and also drops when the brakes are hit. Ask anybody who has knowledge of physics. I have a graduate degree in engineering and this is a very elementary idea I wouldn't expect you to understand.

  • what if you don't have breaks?

  • You don't need to tap your back break, I just lean forward a bit

  • Bobbybmc it's the 3rd law of motion

  • In simple physics, the second law of motion is action-reaction. Your back wheel spins forward while in the air. If you tap the breaks, then it stops immediately, and there will be an equal but opposite reaction of rotation which results in your bike rotating forward in the air and causes your front of your bike to dip. Similarly, if you accelerated your back wheel in the air, then your front wheel would rise higher. This is a common practice in the freestyle motocross.

  • @bobbyBMC no. no. you're completely wrong, except your mention of the second law of motion.

the reason the second law of motion doesnt apply to tapping the brakes is because the rear tire in no way is an action that the front wheel, completely unrelated, must react to.

  • @bobbyBMC so your back brake

  • @darkmaster335 theoretically either brake should work, but I have only known people to tap their back brake. I have only used my back brake also

  • @bobbyBMC THANKS

  • @bobbyBMC its actually the third law of motion

  • @bobbyBMC wow, thats awsome ahah

  • @bobbyBMC Thank you for the complex breakdown. I didn't realize what the tapping the breaks would do until i read your paragraph.

  • @bobbyBMC I dont care, i ride brakeless

  • @wartree Why even reply?...

  • @wartree they like it in their butts

  • @bobbyBMC uhhhhuuh...

  • @rims1202 Wow. For calling him a retard (which I think he was too). You really can't spell and your grammar sucks

  • how does feathering your brakes cause your front end to dip?

  • LIB? Where is that, I live on Long Island..

  • cheap shitty bikes and your all fat go get jobs

  • @SearchnDestroyer: they are not shitty bikes they are just old this is a old vid read the video disription

  • what happens if you dont have brakes to make yourr tire go down?

  • Hey dudes see y first video of dirt jump

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

    /watch?v=vlIZeqGISvE

  • Which brake? Front or back, and why does that help?

  • which brakes to you tap back on front????

  • where ur helmets on those kind of jumps do u think ur all bad ass because you dont where a helmet

  • why would tapping your break do anything

  • @2fast2beseen It makes the back wheel go up

  • @2fast2beseen it stops the whell from spinning wich will rotate your bike downwards you coon

  • Or You Just Nose In??:S

  • where a helmet u retards ur setin a really bad messadge

  • THX a lot .)

  • i dont use my breaks

  • Could DJ bikes do any of this?

  • so what if i ride brake-less?

  • It's common for motocrossers use our back wheels to orient the bike in the air. If the nose is low, blip the throttle. If the nose is high, tap the rear brake. Some of this depends on the shape of the takeoff ramp and how you were riding on the takeoff. Should you *always* tap the rear brake? No, but there are instances when you should.

  • Those bikes are like 12"!

  • bad advice dont nose dive i got no brakes nd i tried to nose dive i kinda FACEPLANTED nd i had no shirt on so i got all scratched up so fuck nose diving

  • @zumiez440 probably because your shit at trails

  • @zumiez440 when you ride trails you want to nose dive so you dont roll back on your rear wheel and land on your lower back and you dont need brakes to do a nose dive because i never tap my brakes in the air

  • @bmxrider7945 lol i faceplanted on the nose dive nd that happened to me rolled on mack tire nd hit me head concussion 101 lol

  • nice

  • ok, :56 if u need to feather your breaks, u shouldnt be telling other ppl that u need to know how to ride a bike... if ur not comfortable getting your whole bike pointing down a little bit more of an angle of the landing, then u need more time on the pump track

  • Why the fuck does he call it trail riding? Its dirt jumping.

  • @iml337rofl because you know what you're talking about huh? I ride trails and basically only trails, guess what they're made of, DIRT, which would make them DIRT JUMPS. God damn I hate dumbasses like you...

  • @cschmall what the fuck. dirt jumping isnt trail riding so go suck a massive chode you fucking asshole

  • @iml337rofl Wow, look at the maturity level there... and you don't ride, so you don't know shit about riding.

  • @cschmall shut the fuck up about maturity you sound gay as fuck.

and i do ride, so suck my cock. you probably have a shit bike.

  • @iml337rofl What do you ride then? A 26"? Hardtail, or DH? And no, I don't, I ride an almost fully custom Volume 781 frame, profile cranks, S&M grand slam bars Shadow attack stem proper rear wheel eastern stock front wheel and forks odyssey brake set-up ody trailmix pedals.

  • @cschmall 26' dirt jumper. specialized p1 2009

  • @iml337rofl looks like a legit bike, my friends ride hardtail's too, both have black market riot frames

  • wait, i still dont understand how tapping your brakes in the air helps, i just angle my bike down at the right moment down

  • @totallysick88able cos of the gyro effect, thats why in moto cross, wen guys do tricks especially backflips they rev like shit in the air. speeding up the back wheel raises the nose, slowing it down lowers it

  • when you pull your front brake in the air it pulls your front end down.

i wouldnt advise it unless your over jumping the ramps

  • @totallysick88able thats all i do too.

  • @totallysick88able tapping the back brake stops the momentum of the back tire and makes your nose go down but I think its better to just angle your bike at the right time.

i can tell you for a fact that most good bmxers don't tap their brakes, because most ride brakeless.

  • If your just starting out and not riding actual dirt jumps then always ride a BMX track they will give you the start out with getting your style and it will grow as you go. But Dirt Jumps beginners i would say just four feet to five feet high about a bike length wide maybe more to get the hang of it.

  • can someone help me

every time i go to do a X-up my bike flicks out to a whip. it is realy annoying and has lead to many stacks

    PLEASE
