actually, gorgoroth did not burn churches, nor did any black metal band actually, except for Varg Vikernes, who was in a one man band. The only thing norwegian black metal bands are guilty of is "supporting" the church burnings because it is a sighn of authority which is exactly what black metal is against. Most people who burn churches dont even play an instrument.

Samoth participated as did Faust, so there's two from Emperor, and also Jørn Inge Tunsberg from Hades Almighty. All were convicted. the churches were not burnt because they were a sign of authority, they were burnt due to the hatred of Christianity and the fact that Christianity and those churches ended acceptance of Norse Pagan religions.
