A major cause of diabetes (2) is obesity and physical inactivity, which is a fact for a lot of americans.
For many people therefor, the conclusion is: get of your but, get a decent diet (good balance between protein, fat and carbs), make your own food instead of going out for dinner so many times (also saves you a lot of money) and start a light workout by just walking or taking the bike more often (instead of the car for short distances), build the intensity up carefully etc.
The Number 1 tip i can give u as a type 1 diabetic is ALLWAYS have higher then normal glucose levels in your blood, one time i didnt... i passed out...Not funn..
@GamerzFun why would you tell people to go around with high blood sugar then ...? the way you are talking about diabetes makes me wounder if you are , like one thime i didnt ... i passed out ....? this is a a wierd way of saying it .... what were your last hba1c's

Thanks for this posting. I am going to forward to my niece who is a teenager, overweight and sedentary. She keeps saying she'll come work out with me, but always flakes at the last minute. I'm scared for her health and this video is an eye-opener.
Hi guys, I´ve been diabetic for almost 12 years now. What I have learned in all this years is that training at the gym makes me feel abs great. My sugar levels are low, my HbA1C is perfect and what makes me feel very confident is that more I train, more I feel one of the rest. Insulin help me but Diabetes is more about your brain. So get out of the coach and run. Great video, thanks for posting this.
scott thank you so much for posting this videos I always wanted to learn about that its runs in my family so im gald. I like wacthing your videos I learn so much from you, Your an awesome teacher.
hey scott this is totally off topc with this video but i didnt know where else to go to ask you this question. do u think the total gym is a good machine to use for a workout? we have one here at my house and i was just wondering your thoughts about the total gym? thanks again for all the videos!!!
Really? So it's it like the Paleo diet. Is it a long term thing? Because it sounds like it's a management tool, diabetes isn't curable but it is the most manageable disease, i can guarantee that if the person goes back to old habits the glucose would shoot right back up. where can i find the video sounds like something i can suggest to some willing patients see if it can help the manage the disease.
yea its a long term thing. type 2 is curable its caused by bad eating habits and lifestyle. good eating habbits and lifestyle will definitely reverse it. of course if you go back to old habbits it will come back but if you follow whats in the dvd you wont use insulin or meds you'll be free of diabetes. just google ( raw in 30 days )
great informative video. definitely useful for those who have diabetes or those who want to prevent getting the chronic disease. Thanx Scott and Brian.
scott, i need some advice. so here is my problem. my stomach. i mean it isn't that big at all, actually, when i stand up straight and look in the mirror, i have a flat chest and all but the problem is my lower stomach. i seem to have a gut and i have been trrying for ages to get rid of it but to no avail. do you have any advice or a video that can help me with this? i heard if i do stomach exercises with a gut, it gets bigger so idk. should i do cardio 1st then abs? or just cardio? please reply
Excellent video and information. I am a type II diabetic who takes no medication. I control myself with diet and exercise. Thank you very much for the information.
Nice, like the idea to have some general fitness talks about health issues. Would be interesting to see more. Can i suggest tho that the camera be stationary, all the pans get a little confusing.
this is awesome Scott!! these types of vids are informative and it's great that you are branching out from physical exercise and discussing different types of bodily ailments (not necessarily going into anything too deeply medical) and telling us / showing us the benefits of exercising and what it can do for our bodies to keep us healthy and etc. Thanks for this!!
Awesome video! My 8 year old nephew is diabetic and he's starting to get into sports, it was nice to get a little more background information on being an active diabetic! Thanks Scott and Brian
Great job explaining all the aspects of Diabetes that are vital to those who have Diabetes and want to live a healthy life including exercise! It was awesome meeting you Brian, I really enjoyed working with you!
A little hard to watch since my mother has diabetes and I try so had to get her to eat right & exercise but she is so stubborn. I guess I should try harder.
Excellent Video Scott.Give Brian my sincere thank you. I am not diabetic but this was very helpful in general. Looking forward to more videos. BTW, Love the T-shirt.
As a diabetic of 40+ years, exercising with a BS above 150 or below 100 would definitely be dangerous. Testing your blood sugar before, during, and after exercise ... then about 2 hours after that would be advised. Every diabetic reacts differently ... close monitoring is essential up to 24 hours later. Exercise can elevate blood sugars as well as drop them severely, it's all individual. THANK YOU Scott and Brian for the prelim info on diabetes.
I have heard that diabetes can be also occured in children which has never happened in the history, what are the reasons and the people who have diabetes can do fitness? what are the things to aware of? these are my questions ,scott,
You inject a healthy person with insulin you will give them a hypo and cause permanent brain damage/ kill them!
