  • what is the wingspan? and fuselage length?

  • Very nice man....

  • before i left my country when i was 14 a plane like this one was my last plane i built for the club. except the body was built from an old broom stick i found along the road. the wings were done all by hand in wood, think plywood skin and it was a line control model with a russian motor 35. it flew fantastically well.i suffered from vertigo at the time and I designed a chair from which i could fly line plane without turning, and i flew this one for 10 days until i left.

  • Pretty cool

  • hi this excellent congratulations .. Could you send me details of the material used..!!

    Wing span..??

    Length: ?????

    Aweson..!!

  • hahaha what a genius, subscribed!

  • Isn't it beautiful when things just fly? What an amazing machine!

  • you have nimh batery like me :D

i want to mod and put a weed wacker on my 2 meters IAR 80

but can you make a video how did you ''transform'' a weed wacker engine into a rc engine...please

    of course GOOD JOb

  • I'm planning on building a rc plane with a 32cc Weedeater motor and wondered if you could give me some pointers?

  • Very nice.

  • worlds first ??? about 30 years TOO LATE

ever seen the 5hp briggs 1/3 scale cub on floats it built in the late 60's

  • There you go man.. who said we have to use balsa, ply, foam or carbon fiber for a fuse??? Great job ... Have fun....

  • Nothing wrong with the flight characteristics . Well done. Here in Australia we call them whipper snippers .

  • Inspirational idea. Could you give specs on servos, wingspan and such? I have plenty of old weedeater motors and 2x4's.lol. Thanks for sharing.

  • what type of servos did this use

  • A flying weed wacker....fly it around ma trees and cut down all the kudzu off of them.

  • What is the length of the plane and the wingspan?

  • the flying weed wacker!

  • When will the kit be available?

  • This is great!! I'll be sharing this link in my next podcast.

    Awesome! LoL

  • REDNECK FLYER!!!!!

  • i really like the sound if it for somne reason!! i think i might try it.

  • that is freaking sweet man.

  • soooo fuc.....ing niceeeee!!!! i love your model ;)

  • Why wouldn't it fly? You didn't push any design envelopes that I saw as far as stability. When I read the title I thought it had a 2x4 for a wing. Now that is pushing the envelope .. I've seen a 2x6 done but not a 2x4. Fun is fun never the less.

  • Its not what you fly its that you are flying.

  • Good flying,is this home made?

  • @tarashti LOL.... Yes build it in 5 hours and had 8 great flight on her...

  • why didnt tou use a weed wacker in stead of like a blower some blower haver jets to make make have more wind so you can get the propell of that

  • thats awesome

  • it's a 1by 2 not a 2 by 4 big difference!

  • you dont have a problem you have brains and will power great job very nice

  • it seems to be very aerodynamic it just cutts through the air

  • It's that easy, eh?! The Wright brothers were over-rated. I wonder why they spent so much time at Kitty Hawk. Maybe they were there for the fun and sun.

  • @Nomoreidsleft The wright flyer's 150lb engine output 12 horsepower, so they were basically flying a 750lb (loaded, incl person) aircraft using 6 of these weedwacker engines.

  • Awesome! haha

  • Got plans for it LOL! Great stuff.

  • Hey Bill I just got some old weed wacker motors from my uncle and I want to build something like this. I was wondering what you are using for the wing, tail assembly, servos, and so on. Yours looks great, hope mine will fly like that!

  • What you got there is some kind of unsophisticated beauty. You should be an Inspirational Motivator. No, thats not right. You are an Inspirational Motivator. Thanks.

  • wtf!!! a flying 2 x 4 thats freakin wild..lol great job!!

  • Where is that feild at that at. I live in OHIO too

  • next up............brigs lawnmower engine plane

  • is it powerful enough to power the P-51

  • No..it is like a 1.20 Glow or a 1.60 glow...

    @FlyHighRC386

  • @billyd44444 hey how did you mount the prop on that shaft? and did you use the weedwacker throttle some how too?

  • That plane is so sweet! Nice build!

  • Billy, two thumbs up on your aircraft design.

I have heard of sticking a plane.

But a plane on a stick is a new one on me.

Thank you for the information you gave me when we had the chat at

    T W I R C . T V

    about the D E P R O N

  • Are you going to offer plans for it? Could be the next big thing

  • slow stick on seiriods good job.

  • great job Billy, I want one! ;-)

  • that's sweet

  • NICE flies like a RFT awsome.

  • @GHANDYTAMASH heres one place with lots of advice rcpowers forum

  • What's next? Flying cow??? :D

Good job on this one. What's the prop you're using?

  • 18x8

    @IRisingFuryI

  • @billyd44444 really creative, make more it sounds like a cessna keep it up =] -John

  • Very nice build. I want to see a loop.lol It sounds really cool too.

  • Great video guys :-))

  • Now that is a new type of slow stick .. ROFL .. great job BrewMyStrow.

    BruceM (BFOAMY)

  • I like the way in banks.....

  • haha... i didnt think of that.

    surprised me...

    nice job man

  • haha! that IS wrong indeed! :) awesome :]

  • Nothing wrong with that mate,if it works don't knock it thats what i say ;-) oh and when will i get to hear your wifes vioce on a flying vid LOL (private joke) thumbs up.

  • Very cool LOL and fuuny

  • Now that is nice!! : )

  • That is a holy airplane... Great job!!! I t flies really nice too... After all, the fuel is cheaper... :D

  • hahahahahaha! Yeah....I've got nothing! lol Sure flew nice!

  • Love it!

Gives me motivation to build my 4x4 plane using the twin Brigs & Stratton out of my old riding mower.

    "That's wrong" Classic! LOL

  • That is so cool..Good Job!

  • Sweet!!! Hope you don't get ahold of a pig - you'll probably make that fly too! :)

  • Billy, you may have a problem but what a nice problem to have. Great plane. The cool thing is after you land you can do some yard work. I think a 14x7 would work best for trimming around the hedges ;-)

  • Thanks Dave!! that thing swings a 18x6-10 prop!!!

    @FoamyDave

  • @FoamyDave That was F@*#ing funny!!!!!LOL.LOL.LOL.LOL

  • WOW, I didn't know that 2x4s could fly. Great job.

  • Is that the weed whacker moter out of your *sniff* Spitfire?

  • @shuttj

    Yes!! parts of it..

  • love it!... agreed you should make a vid. on how to convert the engines :p

  • That is one nice flying scratch build!

  • @dingo7222

Built it in 3 nights..LOL and some beers!!

  • Sick!!! u should do a vid on how to convert those engines

  • nice

  • nice one brilliant that was cool love it

  • Nice job just goes to show, you can get most anything to fly if you have the right setup and C/G great job Billyd.

  • nice!!

  • nice, lol ;-)

you should pull a "BillyD" banner with it
