I'm with the people that have decided to be positive on this one man. I've been spinning for a year now and made mad progress from the first time I recorded a spin. Your performance was pretty good and it doesn't matter what others think. Poi is about self expression. Mel, Drex, Nevisoul, Yuta, Nick, G, Ronan... they all had to start somewhere. Nobody starts out as a poi god. Hope you stuck with it man.

Granted, I've had the distinct pleasure of attending spin jams with the likes of Spinagogue, and even some of the burners from Cirque. I might be biased, and a tad more difficult to impress *l*

But, this guy is very good, and... provided he's stuck with it... is likely quite amazing, by now. Certainly _far_ better than I think _I_ will ever be, with poi! ^_^

He's planes are straight pretty in time to the music and he is having fun. for all you know that may have been his best spin! My best fire spins aren't as good as that. Honestly, he's not the best fire poi spinner I've seen on Youtube alone. He's exceptionally good, but not the best. A little more practice makes perfect. No negativity here, but I could link you to a spinner who's better than this guy. Great video though!

Apparently all of you have failed to notice that this video was not posted by the guy spinning...but by a member of his audience. To someone that has never seen a poi performance before it would seem like he made the best poi video ever. Why be so negative? I think that he put on a good show...why not applaud the attempt rather than insult him. Not everyone can be Yuta or Nick Woolsey.

Looks like the person holding the camera was far away and zoomed in. Zoom often creates very unsteady filming without a tripod. If you don't have a tripod, it's best not to use zoom. Just stand as close to the dancer as possible.
