  • I see 5 people from Lossiemouth must have watched this.....or 5 people that have had a sense of humour bypass!...perhaps they all live in Lossiemouth? :P

  • Sir Humphrey is legendary!

  • Thank you for sharing.. I am looking for this.

  • pm ki maa ki chut.....

  • Yes!threaten them with Scotland!

  • last bit was confusing

  • They had such lovely suits.........the cut was so good.......I wonder if they were Saville Row or BBC wardrobe surplus!

  • brilliant script

    low sound in video

  • gosh!

  • Too good for words :D

Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister are the best shows ever made!

  • A dogfood!!!

  • I know

  • Bernard ROCKS

  • I wish Hacker WAS the PM.........cant do any worse than now!

    RIP Paul Eddington.........Nigel Hawthorne...........Richard Vernon.

  • @stegaflaps So long as we are wishing, I wish he was in the Oval Office--He can't be any more ineligible than Barack Obama!

  • I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING!

  • how else can i judge whether or not i need to know it! ; )

  • Clear as mud!

  • Sir Humphrey could give the Vorlons a lesson in crypticism.

  • "But you only need to know things on a need-to-know basis."

"I need to know everything! How else can I judge whether or not I need to know it?!"

"So that means you need to know things, even when you don't need to know them..."

    Brilliant, wonderful gibberish! LOL

  • Cabinet plot against the Prime Minister? Are you sure this wasn't written this week?

  • bernard's got the coolest lines!

  • Sir Humphrey is my hero. He is the man.

  • I couldn´t agree. He IS the man.

  • "Good, that's very clear" LOL!

  • I'm trying to write a transcript of this video, and I can't understand a word he says at about 1:40. Sir Humphrey then says: The .. issue is the defence etc. Could you please tell me what this word is?

  • Humphrey: Bernard, the matter at issue is the defense of the realm, and the stability of the government.

Bernard: But you only need to know things on a "need to know" basis.

Humphrey: I need to know everything! How else can I judge whether or not I need to know it?

  • Thank you so much for helping me!

  • Hmm, I wrote the rest of it, but youtube vanquished the message. Odd.

  • " I NEED to know everything!" lol

  • wow thats amazing

  • British comedy at it's best.

  • Closer to the bone ,don't you think pal

  • I love Sir Hymphrey. I think he is great he is one best characters ever in a sticom. He is amazing.

  • "That is hardly the point"

    :D

  • Depends what your point is

  • Humphrey is quite possibly my favourite sitcom character ever! Nigel Hawthorne was a master of his craft.

  • "I need to knoweverything! How else can I know whether I need to know it?" - Sir Humphrey. It's priceless!

  • Quite agree

  • Class!

  • I need to know whatever there is to know, even if I don't need to know when I need to know that which i don't need to know.

  • I know what you mean as knowing what is needed can mean needing to know what is not needed and that means having a need to know of what is not known yet.

  • This was one of the best series ever. I enjoyed it even before I was interested in political intrigue. And to think Brown (spit! ...sorry - he's NOT my favourite PM) wants to give civil servants back their power. Or at least he SAYS he does. Blair knew which side his bread was buttered on with Alastair Campbell. Google: keeptonyblairforpm He's the ONE!

  • All hail Y, PM.

  • "I NEED to know everything!"

    Excellent!

  • Good taste mate
