  • I love my reel mower but never ever miss a week of mowing otherwise you'll have to drag out the gasoline mower.

  • Man just think get 24 of those and you could cut your lawn with 1 push.

  • I have a reel mower that I bought to use when my gas mower was in the shop.

Now I prefer to use the reel mower and not breathe exhaust fumes.

The only time I ever use the gas mower anymore is if the grass has gotten overgrown.

  • awesome,I'm gonna get one AND mow while barefoot lol....;-D

  • awesome,I'm gonna get one AND mow while barefoot lol....;-D

  • bought one on the way to get gas three years ago.....ain't bought gas since .better cut, twice as fast ,quiet ,no more grass blown all over everything

  • @TYUF786 i have allergies and i find i dont deal with them nearly as much now while cutting with my reel mower....it doesnt blow everything around like the gas powered mower

  • well at least you are normal from you point of view! and who cares about what other people think anyways? great vid

  • @jason23296

    Douchebag....great logic there....

Reel mowers suck because hippie's use them right???

  • it liberates you from spending on gas and from being lazy? Come on it's a lawn mower not a gas guzzling suv.

  • yeah, I don't own one of those either. and I make my kids walk to school instead of sitting in line with all the neighborhood parents in the morning.

  • i have the exact same one in green

  • Mowing barefoot will turn your feet green.

  • I have one too! I love the sound it makes. The neighbors appreciate it, too. Little kids walking by always ask me if they can try it. I always say "Yes!" It's kind of a Tom Sawyer thing.

  • I've had my Sears reel mower for 7 years and love it.

  • What do you use to lubricate the blades? And how often do?

  • the blood of grass!!!! that's all. Actually once in a while I think silicone spray would be good. Really they need little upkeep.

  • seriously. the things i want to do to your mower.... sheesh.

  • Wow, Thanks, I guess now it can be called a power tool!

  • oh baby you are.

    a big one.

well, the tool part at least....

  • hehe i wonder what else i could say to creepy stalk you out since you don't know who i am? hmmm.... how about this: my parents say they love the video and are proud of you =)

  • your orange mower turns me on.

  • what brand would you reccomed ? Thanks 4 the info

  • Mine is a great states, but I'm not an expert on brands. I bought it from a retired widower.

  • Scotts makes a great rotary mower. They sell them at the Home Depot for about $150.

  • how hard is it to push ? does it make a good cut ?

  • If you keep the blades lubricated, (only maintenance needed) its easier to push than a power mower. The cut is better than a regular mower because it actually cuts the grass between two blades.

They don't need to be sharpened for several years if they are taken well care of.

  • I see that the one featured in my video sells new for $69.99, and they sell an 18" model for $99.99 at Menards.... if you have them near you. I might upgrade to an 18", the one I have is like a 15" and for my lawn it's a tad small.

  • I got a 20in Scotts at Home Depot for $130.

  • I saw that one, but opted to stick to great states, there's not plastic on them and for my projects it looks better. I am all about appearances.

  • how hard is it to sharpen the blade?

  • I use a kit, and it requires me to remove a part of the wheel, apply some honing grease and wind it backwards. It's not bad at all.
