  • gotta love the coalition !

  • Lol at 8:05 "Members on my Right, are not immune from sitting there quietly!"

  • The Labour party is made up entirely of mislead people and liars.

  • If Swanny was honest he would simply say "yes state debt will increase inflation, we are not certain by how much"

  • I will answer for Krudd, it increases inflation as the central bank will likely monetize it.

  • Comment removed

  • The Liberal party do not like spending money on infustructure etc.. they prefer to keep Australia suppressed. By suppressing the Australian people, it keeps the Liberal Party on top....They Liberal party only spend tax payers money to bogus companies who are run by their fat cat mates....

When Kevin Rudd went into office he found so many John Howard Liberal Party rorting scams and bogus company contracts that showed billions of dollars that had been trasfered to these bogus companies.

  • @ChrisRoubis Yep sure, and 9/11 was a conspiracy right? You idiot.

  • "i'd be very happy to provide that information to you".......... "OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • i dont think krudds ever answered a question in parliament

  • Not to mention the huge amount of money that was wasted through not properly checking who was receiving the government's stimulus money...many people received this even though they were no longer living or working in Australia.

  • Labor and Liberal are full of conceited and arrogant twits. The only people who are more retarded than the two party system are the sheepil who continue to vote one or the other in, and then complain about their moronic antics.

I say kick them both out and vote independent or nationalist.

  • Good luck. I absolutely agree, but good luck.

  • @68Trueblue Voting independents and other minor parties is a fruitless exercise...unless they have genuine toughness and solid grounding (ie nick xenophone etc) they are a waste of spce. Vote liberal and be happy. Labor are a bunch of morons who could run a chook raffle!

  • @danielmy08 The two party system is destroying Australia. I used to vote Liberal when I was young and uninformed but I have seen through their lies. Labor I have never supported. Ill stick to nationalist groups like One Nation . At least they are working in the interest of Australia and not global government.

  • @68Trueblue The only interests they are serving is their own to stay in power...as was evidenced by the ousting of Rudd just the other day.

  • things are the same, when the liberals get back into power, they won't answer Labor's questions. Just like Before. then, when labor gets back into power, the same will happen. It's a vicious cycle.

  • we have a word for it now. Politics

  • Labor voters,,,,,will you ever learn. Now we've got a PM who is never in the country and a bunch of debt-addicts running the economy.O well.......the Libs will knock the debt over as they usually do when they get back into power.

  • @jeffrotub EXCUUUUUUUSE ME????

HOW DID WE AVOID A RECESSION!!!!!!?????

HOW? U DON'T KNOW ONE THING ABOUT POLITICS! HOW DARE YOU! BETTER TO HAVE THE WHOLE COUNTRY IN DEBT THAN TO HAVE INDIVIDUALS IN DEBT, THE STIMULUS PLAN PRODUCED MORE JOBS AND WAGES AND SALARIES INCREASED! AND THEREFORE WOULD MOVE INTO A HIGHER TAX BRACKET ANYWAYS! ITS THE WAY WE GOT OUT OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION MATE! WE CANT HAVE TWITS LIKE MR HOCKEY AND MR ABOTT RUNNING THE COUNTRY!

  • @james1234279 THEY WOULD ONLY PUT THE COUNTRY IN FURTHER DEBT AND WOULD CAUSE THEIR OWN RECESSION!!!!! THEY WOULD BE TOO ARROGANT TO SPEND ON THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND ON WORKING FAMILIES!

"TO RECOVER FROM A RECESSION GOVT SHOULD: LOWER INTEREST RATES, INCREASE GOVT. SPENDING!" from my commerce teacher Dr. Chapman

People whine bout increasing interest rates...

"in a boom: inflation builds up, unemployment is low, wages are rising and the interest rates increase" Dr. Chapman

  • @james1234279 AND...

Best plan to go with is the INFLATIONARY POLICY (Theodore Plan)

"Increase govt. spending, Cut taxes and to creates a large budget DEFICIT. This is the INFLATIONARY POLICY. It causes demand to rise and unemployment to fall" Dr. Chapman

if you ask me it sounds very much like the stimulus plan the Rudd govt. put in place... AND IT WORKED! AUST. GREW DURING A RECESSION AND THEREFORE AVOIDED A TECHNICAL RECESSION!

  • @james1234279 create*

  • @james1234279 ...and James what exactly has Rudd done for your beloved working families, fuel watch, grocery watch both axed shortly after their inception, billions of wasted taxes on home insulation scams, millions wasted on a climate change institue (yes those taxes come from working families too

  • @danielmy08 yes that "tax" on electricity is good, makes liberal twits like you watch how you use your electricity and makes more eco wise. (unless you r a climate change sceptic)

  • @james1234279 ..and what about all the other failed programs of Rudd eh..."home insulation bungle"...childcare centres..no response there eh. and besides the ETS is just like the tax on cigarettes, doesn't stop anyone smoking just gives the gov't more money to waste.

  • @james1234279 , ...broke his promise to build new childcare centres, billions wasted on so called education revolution which is nothing more than allowing Labor stooges in the building industry to milk through massively overpriced quotes.

  • I really wish that all the abour voters would watch this to ensure a change in vote next election!

  • @loki6993 FIRST OF ALL SPORT... ITS LABOR NOT ABOUR, YES I KNOW IT SHOULD BE SPELT LABOUR BUT THATS THE WAY THE PARTY'S NAME IS SPELT!

  • @james1234279 ...the reason they can't spell the word labor properly is because they don't know the meaning of the word! They are a party who simply bludge once they get into power..at taxpayer's expense.

  • Liberals do the same shit, look at the Howard years. I used to get so pissed at Howard and Costello for not answering valid questions that the then labor opposition put across.

I guarantee you that if Turnbull is somehow elected to be PM next year we'll see the same shit and you kevvys1a1woos wont give a shit.

  • Yeah, the Liberals ATM remind me of Labour a few years ago. Don't have any of their shit in gear, constantly complaining about everything, bad leadership, and general pissing about.

  • Ive taught 12yo old kids english. and what the speaker is doing is 100% right.. you gotta control them or they run wild. i cant believe our country is run like this.....

  • Whilst I disapprove of your language, I approve of the sentiment. I can't stand him either!

  • Disapprove of my language, due its the internet....

  • haha.... he's my electorate's member of parliament.... :S.... i don't like... him that much. but he's the best we've had in terms of candidates. good old harry jenkins jnr.

  • @swanie180 piss off. he's speaking the truth.

  • @swanie180 Your an idiot - and he is not - so go get a life (bet your a stupid Liberal jerk)

  • @fatheranthony4pope Good spelling labor educated fool.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 lol - I don't know if that is a compliment or not. I have no idea how to respond to that.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 "labor educated" - VERY ACCURATE!!!!! it is Labor that actually puts money into the Education System, The Liberals are only good at cutting services and slashing funding - especially to GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS!!!!!!!!

  • @fatheranthony4pope Any idiot that has to overuse capital letters and exclamation marks and as such cannot get their point across with normal prose is clearly from th ALP. All spin and no substance.

The ALP, and you sir, are a laughing stock. Watch this space.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 hahaha - you are the laughing stock considering I made a valid point which you have not and cannot debunk, or prove wrong because it is fact - Victoria's services all went backwards when Liberals took power and we have spent the last 10 years of Labor trying to undo what the Liberal party did to our state! Plus John Howard squandered the mining boom by under investing in infrastructure and services - the budget shows hat he ripped $1 billion from hospitals!

  • @fatheranthony4pope You can hahaha all you like you moron but how you forget that it tool only 2 years for the Russ Govt to throw away that much money you were the laughing stock of the western world. Home insulations-people even fucking died.

    Incompetence of the highest magnitude.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 That's not a fact. This is Liberal party spin, and no spin is good, and you endorse spin, so fuck you and you wasted energy. Australia needs MUCH more. Consider me YOUR enemy.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 oh i can hahaha because you are the laughing stock - don't you realise that pretty much the entire western world went into recession and that money that Rudd spent SAVED australia from recession!!! hundred of thousands of people owe there jobs to Rudd -it wasn't the Govts fault those people died - it was the idiot people who decided to take advantage of the scheme that did it. Get your facts straight and stop buying into bs propaganda - pull ur head out from under that rock

  • @fatheranthony4pope This dribble is so boring it is as interesting as Gillard's drone.

    Just shut up.

  • @Bananaandapples2008 Truth and fact bore liberals coz it don't shine well for you!! haha and btw I am no a Labor - I don't vote them - but they are still better than the Liberals!!!! the biggest joke is that they aren't actually a "liberal" party - thats the funniest thing - you even lie about what your party is!!!

  • @Bananaandapples2008 Even Malcolm Fraser is embarrassed by where Howard and Abbott have taken the party - Now Malcolm was class and he can't stand you!!!!

  • @swanie180 Hear Hear! I met Jenkins in the Myer where I work, seemingly a nice bloke, but a poor speaker, his voice has no guts.

  • the labor government is incompetent and all Australians will be negatively affected

  • The difference between the AUS and UK parliaments are quite profound even though the former is based on the latter. The most striking difference as far as I can see is that the speaker in the UK parliament controls members during proceedings, whilst the Aussie speaker seems to direct them and has total control; almost like a ringmaster

  • Another difference is during the UK question time, the opposition is allowed to debate the points. In ours they are only allowed to ask questions.

The government is only required to address questions in the broadest possible sense, so question time is really rather useless over here.

  • And that idiot Labor stooge Jenkins won't let anyone from the opposition say anything. He tells them to sit down almost as soon as they stand up!

  • @kevvys1a1woos Yea a microcosm of how Australia would be as a republic.

  • @bathroomdealer The speaker in all of the AUS videos. Doesn't have any authority in that house.

  • The speaker bares an uncanny resemblance to Bill Bryson!!

  • You should have really have shown Wayne Swan try to answer the question. One of the funniest things I have ever seen in parliament.

  • Can't do it due to the YouTube 10 min time limit

  • Neither party answers the questions relevantly 100% of the time.

  • Today show?

  • Never answer the question that was asked of you, answer the question you wish had been asked of you. This is certainly the policy the Rudd Government has adopted.

  • God this is why you should never elect labor. People are now starting like Howard over Rudd and Howard is even still now getting awards.

  • You sound worse than swan, that statement clearly made no sense.

  • I think it was.. "People are now starting to like Howard over Rudd.."

  • Former Leader of the Oppositon, Brendan Nelson.

  • God Save Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of All Australia!

  • WTF????

    She aint even Australian

  • She is the Queen of Australia, though.

  • Queen of the monarchy. not of Australia.

  • She is, technically, the Queen of Australia. Represented by the Governor General.

  • How does this show labor incompetence? aside from about ten seconds of swan footage it is just the opinion of liberal party MP's.

  • "She can send them out with her free computers"

  • Show me a politician that can force prices of anything down without losing revenue, and for those that are slightly dense lost revenue will be recouped from any alley

  • Kevin 747, LOL! But so true. Rudd is quite the globalist puppet. Off to NY to take his orders from Murdoch and Kissinger, and the rest of the criminal global elite plotting for their one world government.

  • RUDD'S A DUDD

  • and your not? throwing this pathetic one liner on every political video on youtube shows the level of intelligence you have and most surely the political party you are a member of. crawl back in your hole

  • RUDD'S A DUDD

  • hey i thought you were intimating that Schwanzkuss is RUDD THE DUDD and now you're saying i'm RUDD THE DUDD make your mind up

  • What a silly Parliament! Why are Members allowed to interrupt on trite points of order? Why is the Speaker of the House neither elegantly attired nor eloquent as befits the arbiter of a lower chamber in the Westminster tradition?

  • The answer to your questions are as follows:

    1. The Standing Orders here say that a Member may raise a point of order at any time. The Speaker is then bound by the Orders to rule on the point of order.

    2. Australian Speakers have not worn QC's attire and wig since Sir Billy Snedden in 1976. Speakers of the Liberal Party wear an academic gown, but Labor Party Speakers have chosen not to wear any formal attire.

  • I love how the Member of O'connor uses his point of orders to make a sarcastic joke lol.

  • "somethimes i have the etails and sometimes i dont"

omg this is lol worthy, isn't it his job to have all the details?

  • Brendan 'emo' Nelson...

So passionate to a cause that's so timewasting, petrol

  • Rudd Labor can't answer questions in parliament

Gee I dont think in the 11 years of Howard we didnt manage to get one answer

  • damn straight.

  • pfft lol question time is different to the australian public. if you find some witty retort one word... recession

  • "This is his best answer yet, its just to the wrong question."

    LOL.

  • sometimes i don't have the details? you told kay hull to ask you the question!!!

  • He did not, Kay Hull is a National Party MP, not a Labor MP.

  • "She can send them out with the free computers"

    HAHAHA! LOL

  • Why does the house have a semi-circular seating arrangement instead of benches facing each other like in the British and Canadian Parliaments?

  • In a way, the House does have benches facing each other but the chamber was designed to seat 170 MP's, if need be. For some reason, our founding fathers decided to have the Houses of Parliament designed like this.

  • The semi-circular end is for independent and minor-party MP's, who are neither in government, not in opposition. They are often referred to as the 'cross benches'.

  • A snapshot of relevant points of order. These existed in Howard's government.. in Keating's government.. etc etc. Here's an amazing fact: Government politicians will sometimes CHOOSE not to answer the question, and this sort of stuff eventually slides. It's nothing new. I have to admit the speaker's reaction to "yesterday's question" was hilarious, and Swanny is a sitting duck.

  • All politicians just talk crap and can't answer questions. Go back hundreds of years it'd be the same thing. Look at the ridiculous Howard government, they did exactly the same thing. They are all little children.

  • hhahahaha i love this video, ive watched it like 10 times already and it makes me crack up everytime. Its funny how Brendan Nelson is so relaxed and Rudd looks like hes bout to break down. And I love the number of times I hear "Will the Treasurer please resume his seat" lol Go Liberals

  • I'd find this funny if I weren't living in this country.

  • spot on

  • its a shame, you speak the truth.laugh, cry, laugh hmmm cry

  • Seriously this is pretty typical for question time under any government.

  • The Libs are just sooking because of their born to rule mentality. They don't seem to understand they are no longer the government, and their childlike shrieking will not change that.

  • Hey, this was on my birthday and I'm a Liberal!! A great birthday present lol.

  • Malcolm Turnbull is a fucking legend. He is so intelligent and far more intelligent thatn Wayne Swan. Wayne is a nice guy but he truly does suck in parliament. I would consider to sacking him with his pathetic performance lately

  • How much time are the Liberals wasting with these crap points of order?!

  • The points of order are to get the Labor ministers to address the questions asked! The question you should be asking is why/don't/can't the Labor ministers answer the questions put to them?

  • Rudd Labor can't answer questions in parliament,

Gee Kevvys a woos, did you ever watch question time over the past 12 years,

Getting an answer off the Liberals was like trying to draw blood out of a stone, no wonder when Kevin Rudd was opposition leader he turned his back and talked to his colleagues after he asked the question because he knew he wasnt going to get an answer

  • No, he did that because he has no sense of propriety, or if he has, he choses to ignore it. This is becoming increasingly obvious as days go by. For example his snubbing the Japanese prompting a query from them, saluting GWB, and visiting Kate Blanchett when he should have been at Button's funeral. He prances on the world stage, and hosts gabfests, meanwhile 'working families' he was elected to 'save' are no better off.

  • Blah Blah Blah,

Once again you dont have a sensable reply to the subject so you are merdging off the topic that has nothing to do with the subject at hand

  • I give you a sensible reply, and all you can say is 'blah, blah, blah'? It's not my fault if you're too stupid to understand it. Stop wasting my time.

  • The Member for Wentworth.. not Detention Centre I hope!! lol

  • 1. The previous Liberal govt were the ultimate question dodgers. I especially loved Howard near the end when he'd get up, say 'yes' or 'no' and sit back down because it was the only way he could answer it without tangling himself deeper in his 11 year old web.

  • You loved Howard?? Oh, that's good. There's hope for you yet! :)

  • 2. Questions this early on in a new govt are always lame because there's not much ammo, and your harping on about it only shows how rusted on to the party you are.

  • Get real! They were simple questions even a school kid could answer, if they knew the answers that is!

  • 3. Just look at the polling. Rudd has the highest preferred PM and Labor has the highest two-party preferred opinion polling in Australian history. Beazley/Labor were far higher after the 1996 loss.

    Owned :-)

  • Give it time. :)

  • This video wreaks of Young Liberal...include the whole clip.

Even if you did, any one with a memory can recall the silence during the first and third Work Choices vote.

  • What 'whole clip'?

  • 1. Malcolm Turnbull's length of his question. I remember that the Liberal Government acted like hawks on the length of Labor questions.

    2. Why are you only displaying one side of the argument? You aren't displaying a level of competence at all.

  • Thanks, but if I want your opinion, I'll ask for it. The video intent is to show that Labor can't/won't/don't answer questions put to them, nothing more. And YouTube impose a ten minute limit on videos anyway. Next time think before you decide to criticize someone.

  • I remind the honourable author that it was a coalition Member who was forcably removed from the Chamber? For the first time in how long? I watch Parliament as much as I can, and i am yet to see a sitting where the incompetance and disorder of the coalition is met by the incompetance and disorder of the government. By allowing comments, you are inviting comments, especially in a bipartisan society. I am a staunch Liberal, yet i find myself appaled at the coalitions actions in this years sitting

  • It just highlights not only the governemnts restraint in answering questions but the raw fact that they (in particular wayne swan) have absolutly no idea!!

  • How dare nelson and turnbill ask what Kevin is going to do about inflation when their liberal government did nothing for how many years....And its funny the member for Dickson, former assistant treasurer for how many years did not know the NAIRU figure, Hippocrates

  • ah yes, Hippocrates, that great Greek physician known as "the Father of Medicine", who laid the foundations for medical science by freeing medical study from the constraints of philosophical speculation and superstition. What a great man he was!

  • Dead right.

  • Its funny how the speaker already appears to be fed up with parliment

  • LOL!

  • This should be shown on national television....and the official liberal party channel for that matter!

  • The official Liberal YT channel is pathetic! mines ten times better, lol! But yes, the media is not showing the 'true ability' of Labor are they. And it's wrong because the public is not getting the true picture.

  • These prats only seem able to answer Rudd's own retorical questions...it'd be funny if it werent so damn serious.

  • I agree about the TV remark - I should point out that the House ruled that only the ABC show question time at 2:00pm and in the early hours of the morning.

  • Ahh the good old fair and balanced ABC!

Hiding the fact that labor cant answer questions in parliament since God knows when!

  • why didn't you show their replies? Hardly proves your point.

  • The point is that Labor don't, won't, or can't, answer the questions put to them, and the number of times that needed to be pointed out by the Liberal members and drawn to the attention of the speaker, is evidence of that. As regards the Labor members replies.. I haven't yet figured out how to fit 1 hour of parliament into the 10 min video limit that YouTube imposes. :)

  • now ur making me laugh. it is true though, no point even trying to show their replies as at no point were the questions addressed or anywhere near the point. paup there are a few other vids on youtube showing swan attempting an answer if u like. good 4 a laugh

  • I really hope people post the events of today the 22nd of February it has been hilarious!!!!!!!

  • damn! I forgot to set the recorder. :( but with the Labor looneys in power we have now, I guess there'll be plenty more opportunities. I would have liked to have seen it tho.

  • That's probably the only good thing about the new government, kind of like when G.W.Bush was re-elected I thought at least he'll still be there to say crazy funny shit for Letterman to take the piss.

  • Wilson Tuckey's reply to Julia Gillard at 02:55, about the WorkChoices mousepads, "Mr Speaker, my Point of Order to assist her in this matter, is to send them out with the free computers" Get it, the WorkChoices mousepads could be used for the laptops Labor hasn't even given out yet! Gillard got owned big time! That was a bloody good comeback. Go the 'Ironbar'!

  • Yeah, but at Christmas time I saw in Target a whole bunch of toy Santa Clauses with portable PCs! So maybe there the ones he promised, lol.

  • This Speaker has no confidence at all. He lets MPs say, "Point of Order" when they are meant to say "Mr Speaker, Point of Order". Previous excellent Howard Government Speakers like Ian Sinclair and David Hawker, never made these mistakes and carried things out, in Parliament, in an orderly fashion.

  • I don't like him at all. Labor stooge!

  • I was really suprised at Rudds behavour is this session. He was asked(not in this video) a simple question about whether or not he had confidence in his treasurer, and he responded by shouting in a very angry and pompus way, as if how dare he be held to account. He total avoided the question too. It really doesn't suprise me one bit. I knew Labor were full of shit, just like the NSW state government. Problem is people seem to be far more excepting of incompetance from Labor than from Liberal.

  • That's absolutely true! ppl demand much higher standards from Liberal than Labor. Labors failures are often completely overlooked, while the Libs are held to account for every little thing. And the media is very guilty in this regard. Look at State Labor's failures.. total lack of planning in virtually every area you care to name.

  • one of the truest points made to date.people and the media in particular need to scrutinise the labor govt far more intensely.even in opposition the libs are being grilled more than those in power.

  • Yeah, I noticed that on Lateline recently. They have the Libs on the program to put them on the spot and let the elected party off. The ABC are such gate keepers for the ALP.

  • dw you have Piers Ackermans dribble for that =D

  • Don't know what you mean. In any case what I said was right on the money. Labor are not the peoples party anymore, they just try to make you think they are.

  • "even in opposition the libs are being grilled more than those in power".

Yeah you know I couldn't believe what I heard the other night on ABC news headlines. They said that the opposition was taking a gamble in rejecting the stimulus (debt) package. The OPPOSITION? They did not say the government was taking a gamble with this policy. The ABC are so working for the ALP. I just love it when they have Costello on. He cuts right through their BS.

  • Swan always reminds me of a weedy, wet-eyed kid who says to the teacher on Monday, "Remember you gave us homework!" Look at the Libs - competent, smooth and talented. Costello did humour better than anyone. Gillard is a blowhard doing her best to be diehard.

  • Ahh finally some good videos. Thanks!

  • Wayne Swan makes such a fool of himself. Good stuff.

  • but he is a fool, it comes so naturally to him

  • haha, Hockey's call @ 3:30ish was Classic!

Bloody Rud Govt, they are going to screw our economy...

    Thanks,

    Sam.

  • I loved it when Turnbull says Swan is answering yesterdays question, and Harry Jenkins has to direct Swan to answer todays question. That was classic!

  • yes my sides were sore.

  • There's no need for anyone to subscribe to Foxtel to get the comedy channel now. Just watch parliament and Swanny trying to answer questions, lol!

  • samelf. The economy is screwed .

rates will continue to rise untill 2010

and if the rest of the world starts to slip into recession it will only get worse.

but you cant blame labor for it they have not done 1 thing that has caused it .every thing we feal now is a result of the growth we had and continue to have. what gos up must come down.

  • the libs will pick on anything at the moment

they even stated why dont labor remove the gst off petrol ?

    why didnt the liberals ?

there is two tax's on fuel and one should go

what party is going to do it.

guttless gready bastards the whole lot of them.

  • Thats a great compilation. I would have liked to see more of Swan bumbling his way through answers.

  • Unfortunately YouTube imposes a 10 min time limit. But I'm sure Mr. Swan will be providing many more examples of his 'competence' in future! :)
