This was my contribution to the world of Bealtes Cinematic study, as I was the one who identified this as being the Apple Boutique and wrote about it on IMDB. That's my awkward description up the top ;)
The store's downfall was they lost 200,000 Pounds & media started to portray the Beatles as Shopkeepers. John & Paul were very pissed off & wanted the store gone so on July 31 1968 all the merchandise was free & people could take whatever they wanted. Yoko even took pounds of Irish Silk & wore it as she got into John's car. One woman even tore the carpeting off the floor. One night afterwards Paul spray painted the window with the words "Hey Jude" but was interpreted as "Hey Juden" a Nazi slur.
ok near the end of the video when their paying for the clothes look at the persion and the clerk talking that guy is buying the magical mystery tour EP
No, the redhead at the beginning is Maggie Smith. The clip is from 'Hot Millions' with Peter Ustinov and Karl Malden (as well as Newhart and Smith). It's a cracking film that one can't view anymore - not on TV and no dvd out. Shame!
yeah i know, my luck didnt stop there, i saw hendrix live on his debut performance , stones in hyde park blindfaith too in hyde park and i met jagger and faithful in hydepark too. what i didnt know at the time was how important all this stuff was in musical history
i was lucky enough to live 2minuetes walk from this shop when it was open loved it i was 14 at the time and i was sosad when it didnt work but hey they all did ok

Maggie Smith is looking slightly more sexy than in her Harry Potter role.
