Dude, I want to get good at sc2 mapping. I was good in SC1 but now I don't know anything. Hopefully in the future I will be able to do this too. Right now I am stuck knowing how death counts and hypers work... :(

When they click a lot they're creating a curve rather than a straight line. It gives you more control. I used to do that a lot with my air units (in SC1) and I would blow people's minds with the amount of control I had over my units. It's great for avoiding being attacked. If everyone is moving in straight lines, your units are moving smarter in curves. Straight line feels like they're just marching to their deaths.

Oh my god I loved this game on the original Starcraft. I always played it with the map's original maker, at least until he ran off to fight a war IRL instead of in cyberspace.

@LadyGrace2 from what I've heard, "to give accurate commands" seriously if you seen one of those korean tournaments, you'll have no idea how fast they can come up with strategies, sending units with multiple clicks allows them to think fast, at the same time, avoid unnecessary actions, without the urge to panic, you'll see the difference between players who randomly clicks & players who knows what to do next

@LadyGrace2 It's not necessarily to 'try to look pro'. You're just not doing anything else anyway, might as well make little adjustments to what you're telling your units to do. In 1v1 it's to warm up, but here for example, it's just for a lack of anything else to do.

Stealing and inspiration are two different things. Just about everything has an inspiration nowadays; I'm sure Starship Soldiers (original name) had an inspiration just as #2 and #3 were inspired from #1. Nowadays it isn't "who took what", but how they used such knowledge to create their own game. The fact that StarCraft is still coveted as the best RTS of the day, and the top 5 rated strategy games on gamespot are all blizzard titles, shows they employ their knowledge well.
