we're doing this play right now at my college and i'm playing ruth. his first wife dies while watching a bbc musical program. she was recovering from pneumonia but laughed herself to death...i think. i don't have the script in front of me. but that's close.
ha! we did this play last fall, and i was ruth... and though this video is great, i think the girl who played charles in our version did a much better job (i go to an all girl's high school) :)

I just read the script today, Ruth says she dies of a heart attack? i don't know but its a funny play I'm gonna go see it some day
