yes it is the russian spelling to. KYIV is the ukrainian spelling , used right after ukraine became its own country. i know cause i was born there. and i come their every summer. But im leaving tommorow.

Kiev is the russian spelling, using in USSR.
Kyiv using only since 1991.
Now governments many countries changes spelling of capital to Kyiv instead of Kiev.
