The more people on earth, the faster the amount of people on earth will grow. Overpopulation though isn't the big problem. Cutting down trees isn't as horrible either, all you need is just to plant more trees in the place of the removed one in order to keep the balance. Basically we'll be fine living for a long time, even though some things might change soon in extreme ways.
