Benji definitely differs from the DWTS pros in the way he presents his lines with his arms and has so many signature moves. The pros all have a certain snap and extension that is classic. Benji appears to be more affected by the style he has mastered - West Coast Swing which is not a ballrooom or Latin dance for which the pros all have their backgrounds. That doesn't explain why Lacey seems to get it - help me out here? Maybe she has worked to become more versatile for jobs like DWTS.

Actually, it's not gross at all. Even average people who dance for fun could pull this off with their sibling simply because they already have the kind of relationship that a dance duo requires; one of trust and communication.

In ballroom dancing, simply because it's a romantic dance doesn not mean inappropriate, just expressive. Siblings in this case express a passion for the dance, the art, and perfection...not for each other!

being an avid fan of the Schwimmers ( 100% Benji, 300% Laceyyyy <33 ), its so so nice to watch them dance on a well-known dance show together and recognize all their signature moves. like lacey's crazy turns with her head tilted up, benji's slide towards the front as lacey pushes him, the lacey backflips and benji cartwheels..

i love benji. he was one of the 1st dancers on sytycd to really bring me joy from watching him dance. and the season he was on was the 1st one i had ever watched.

lacey is amazing at what she does and i love her as a pro and dwts. but i think that her and benji and both great and could really never compare then to each other.

i will say that i like benji's dancing more thou :)

yah but i dont know if benji is a ballroom dancer per say because his resume is basically swing. I've seen him do a salsa and body movement, etc. was kinda off.(very WCS like) I think thats why hes not a pro maybe he didnt learn ballroom. So it would be kinda hard for him to teach smooth and latin styles

I love Lacey, but I don't agree that she's more talented than Benji.

IMO, Benji is the superior swing dancer. Hands down. Benji's also more of an innovator in dance and has gotten very good at several styles since his time on SYTYCD.

Lacey is definitely superior at Latin, and extremely good at WCS, and there's a lot more sensuality in her presentation.

Two different styles, but both amazingly talented.

Comparing his first place to her 4th place is not fair since he was on season 2 and she did not compete until season 3. I loved Benji he was my favorite the season he won however I do believe they had more experienced dancers with some amazing talent on season 3 when Lacey came in 4th.

Julianne has much more ballroom training than Lacey so she is better technically, but I think Lacey is just as exciting to watch perform. Lacey lights up the place and is an equal performer to Julianne.

On the other hand, Benji doesn't come close to matching Derek in my opinion. Derek is absolute perfection on the dance floor. No one can match his technique, grace, athleticism, energy, charm, charisma. I could go on and on. I enjoy Benji and think hes talented but he can't compete with Derek

Benji doesn't hold Lacey back he actually won on SYTYCD lacey came in 4th. I think Derek and Julianne would do great on SYTYCD they have been trained in ballet and use to be in a hip hop group with Mark. I think all four are amazing and they all dance better than me, and probably everyone talking about them so let's just enjoy the dance people!

Nigel IS a moron. Benji and Lacey are excellent. Its not like you can become West Coast Swing World champions without flawless technique. Nigel seems to forget this, along with the fact that Lacey also has a Latin World title under her belt, too.

I think that if team schwimmer and team hough were both on DWTS the houghs would own schwimmer BUT if both teams were on SYTYCD the schwimmers would own the houghs.

Although Lacey is/was US National Latin Youth Champion, the Houghs' Latin dance accomplishments trumps hers.

However, the Schwimmer's forte is West Coast Swing. You can't really compare the Houghs to that.

If you want try an even comparison ground (although you shouldn't), go by versatility.

I actually dissagree. I think Benji holds lacey back as a dancing partnership. Lacey is much more tecnical and meticulous in latin dancing because he is completely trained in it. SO i think that its not right to bring lacey down because she dances just as good as the houghs
