I'm positive it's not the hard drive. I had just installed a brand new one with nothing on it. I tested it before I installed it, and it was fine.

@andeyejah I don't think it has to do with it being a Mac. PCs have failed me far more than Macs.

its most likely a problem with the hard drive.. the buzzing sound is maybe coming from there..

Thanks for the comment, but it's a brand new hard drive. The old one I took out was defective for sure, but the new one I put in was running fine. I'm still thinking it's a logic board problem.

hardware problems: probally the logic board go to an apple store if you think its worth it or just take out the HD and sell it for scraps
