The other problem is players not wanting to learn, always wanting to win so they stick with games that they know that usually have ryu and ken in it and spam fireballs, then when I step up and beat them without using a single special move they don't come back.
i knew this kid who was spamming a glitch in marvel capcom 2, I got in and effed him up with Jin, Dr Doom and CapAmerica, he never saw what hit him
one of the biggest problems with US arcades is that there would be kids or guys going there and smashing the buttons and damaging stuff instead of learning howto play worse is arcade shops not wanting to do mainenance or just not having themoney to constantly fix broken machines
Nice video. I want to go to Japan in the next year or so, I'll be keeping an eye out for the shmups though, I hear Hey in Akihabara is good for those.
Lmao, I've been staying in Japan for the past seven years now, but I'm surprised they didn't let you take pictures o: Jajaja, typically the big no pictures rule is for shops so maybe your arcade was stuck up ;P
its kinda like gambling, you get credits from a machine and go to a pachinko machine. put the card or coin or credits in the machine and you get a bunch of metal balls. which u put in the top and it goes down the machine kinda like Plinko from "the price is right"
lot of types of machine with slots and animes and stuff. you can move wear the balls go at the top and you can win more metal balls and cash them out for credits and win prizes or money
2 questions... I have always wanted to go to Japans famous electronics and entertainment district.
1. On the Pachinko (sp?) , I know there are these "backdoor" places where you can actually cash in your winnings rather than the official ( teddy bears, etc ) rewards in the parlor. Kind of a loophole per say. How is a good way to locate those. I know the owners are in cahoots to pay out real cash to keep people coming.
How much Japanese is needed to know, for the Pachinko parlors ? etiquette ?
the arcade days ended in the early 60s the true arcade days was in the 80s. specially late 80s early 90s by 95 it was kinda goin down by but it came back strong up to about 98, after 99 it went dying at a drastic speed and by 2001 it was all dead.
cool i didnt know that

honestly i have no idea lol! i DO see some places have the metal coins for cash RIGHT next to the pachinko places.
As far as i know you just go cash your metal balls in for Metal coins go around the corner just hand them the coins and u get money.
