Thats normal for lifts with a long distance between towers to bounce when an operator pushes the stop button. This lift is not "soviet junk" as mentioned by some other posters but Doppelmayr a major european manufacturer and engineering company. These chairs are designed to have tolerances for such events, and there is no way that anyones feet touched the ground due to the engineering that went into the project or it would have been removed or modified long ago.
