  • I support the Constitution, free enterprise, personal responsibility, and personal liberty.

Thus, I oppose everything this Marxist "Messiah" stands for.

  • arrogant, demanding, and sounds like hes about to have a tantrum if he doesnt get his way. well be seeing more of the "I won" attitude in spades.

  • His main goal of this bill is to kill babies; Health Care should be called abortion care.

  • He is politically DEMANDING that this bulls#!+ passes. Chicago mob style is coming out of him. Buying votes for the 2010 elections and his 2012! "Hey, look what we did for you." By the time everyone realizes its crap, he hopes to be on his second term. And he is watching Venezuela and Honduras and taking tips. I'm thinking he'll try for more terms.

  • Either there is another side of obama we haven't seen( the dr. evil side) or he truly believes that this is the good way to go and it will work. Either way WE THE PEOPLE are gonna get the short end of the stick. And I mean the good hard working paying taxes people.

  • Looks like Obama is following orders from the Insurance Lobby, George Soros, and the Fed. Our reps will follow their marching orders, too. They'll have to confiscate everyone's private property to pay for all this. Of course, they will be exempt from the laws they pass on us.

  • Will the House and Senate take on the same health care program that they are trying to ram down the throats of the American people? I will bet everything I have that these politicians both Republican and Democrats do everything in their power to come up with excuses why they cannot give up their current health care for the same health care they are proposing in this bill. I can assure you that the elitists ideology of our elected officials will have an excuse for not taking the same policy.

  • hubris

  • when will it end??

  • Did you know he was approximately 30 min late? He pulled Gibbs from questioning to do this? Seemed like he needed to create a carefully crafted message.

  • This is one part of his puzzle that MUST be done .... must is one dangerous word ... especially when ALL of his data has been cooked, cooked, and over cooked ... when the press is in bed with him, ... more will be coming.

  • Is he threatening the house and senate here?

  • I would say so.

His administration has already proven that they are more than ready to resort to Chicago THUGERY and THREATS to MAKE Americans do what they want.

I'm from Chicago. I know all about Chicago style politics.

Key players here are Obama, Rahm Emmanuel and Dicky Durbin.

    ALL from CHICAGO.

THIS is what the Obamabot unwittingly voted for but the press covered up.

  • This man is nothing more than a DICTATOR!

    Where is the transparency?

CALL YOUR SENATORS, CONGRESSMAN and let the KNOW you OPPOSE THIS.

    FLOOD THEIR E-MAILS.

It worked with that Amnesty Immigration Bill. It CAN WORK FOR THIS.

    THIS WILL RUIN OUR COUNTRY.

  • There are not enough people that oppose public health to cause any concern for legislators. Maybe, you should give some cash to the insurance lobbyists, so they can stuff your representatives pockets.

  • You do realize that if this passes, the government becomes the insurance lobbyists you detest. And then they don't have to anybody's pockets to line but their own.

  • No, actually we get to skip the lobbyists, and if you choose the public option, you skip the private insurance industry as well. The government becomes the only crooks to watch. As it is, the lobbyist give money to the politicians who then help fill the insurance industry's pockets, and we get screwed on three sides. Do you see a lot of corruption in medicare, or the V.A.? Incompetence yes, but nobody is getting filthy rich by overcharging, and refusing to pay.

  • I see. And what happens when private companies drop their private insurance for employees and force their employees on the public option? Then we just get incompetence?

The fact that some private insurance company is making less money won't be too comforting when we're waiting 40 days to see the doctor, then told to take a pill when we need surgery!

  • We have so many examples of industrialized nations with public health care systems, and yet, we don't see the kind of horror stories that people like to recite being the norm. Do you people think we are not capable of running our health care system as well as the British do in the U.K.?

  • The 'norm' wait time to see a doctor in Massachusettes is 50 days, the longest in the country. Mass. implemented a plan similar to what's being discussed now. They too decided to follow the example of the UK. And that's what they got. The US used to be a leader!

  • The wait times are getting long all over the country, and it has more to do with the lack of Doctors, than with how they are paid. The U.S. used to be a leader? When? In the 70's? Long wait times is just another scary story for the gullible. The people in the U.K. love their health care, and it is single payer. They can also get additional health coverage if they desire, and have the resources. We are talking the general health of our citizens, and how do we pay less for it as a country.

  • So we have to do something about the lack of doctors AND figure out how we can pay less as a country for healthcare? That's not much of an incentive for good doctors.

Could it be that we pay so much for healthcare because we want the best?

  • Paying less means less money for insurance companies, and big pharma, and hospitals that a bilking the public. Doctors are struggling now, and we must do something. If we want the best we will have to find another way, because as it is the World Health Organization ranks the U.S. 37th

  • I know. We're all getting bilked and we're ranked 37th...even behind Cuba. Those are good arguments to make if you're in favor of a massive overhaul. But before we do that, would you answer an honest question? If you are in need of healthcare, insured or not, what country would you rather be in?

  • My honest answer is that if I lived in France there would be much less chance that I needed any fancy surgery, or expensive drugs. So, I choose France, but I would rather live in the U.S.

  • Well I wish you luck wherever you choose and I wish you luck in your war against the health insurance companies and big pharma. All I ask is that you don't create a system that leads to the removal or destruction of my choice of private insurance.

  • Fair enough. I have to tell you that you are much nicer than some of the people who are concerned about the reforms that are being proposed. I just hope that the country can come together at some point, and stop all this hysteria. Nobody wants government to take control of something as personal as health care, but I just think there needs to be a non-profit option for basic health and prevention of disease. If we talk to each other we might even find some middle ground.

  • We will reform America this year

    IMPEACH OBAMA NOW

  • IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!

It will happen this year we are gonna get it done.

  • I have never in my life seen a more arrogant man. Ever. Not even Bill Clinton, who I thought would never be surpassed in his arrogance doesn't compare to Obama. The nation has elected the most egotistical man ever to the highest office in the land.

When you have ambition for power and you;ll do anything to get it, this is what happens. You find yourself in a job you're not qualified to undertake, making demands you can never expect to be given in to.

  • I support universal healthcare and am demanding a public option, otherwise I will join conservatives in opposing this bill.

  • On page 16 of this bill.

Buying your own insurance will be made ILLEGAL.

    FACT!

  • i'm fine with that!

  • OBAMA - One Big Ass Mistake America!

  • obama: "We will boldly go where 100 years of failure have gone before"

  • History was made with his election alright. Nobama will go down as the worst president ever.

  • Apparently, the people have forgotten the carter years.

Many business are moving across the border due to the high increases in tax. I don't blame them. Maybe when the people find themselves with 15% or higher unemployment, they'll finally wake up.

  • Carter, I blame him for a lot of trouble we've had w/the middle east. Him buddying up to the Shaw...no wonder Iran people hated us back then. Carter HAD to have known what the Shaw was really up to w/his people. & Now obama..it just seems like Obama doesn't care we are STILL at war. Does he ever even talk about troops? When Private Long was gunned down on OUR own soil by a terrorist... Obama didn't announce discust at ALL. M. Jackson overdoses & obama said his condolences from out of the contry

  • Watch those goal posts move.

From this month to this year in one bold statement.

  • The substance of the bill seems secondary to him to the pure political challenge of cramming this turd down Americas cakehole, no matter how many people are gagging on it. He's acting more like King Turd on Doo-Doo Island than the President of the Unitied States.

  • "We will screw up the economy even more and destroy the american healthcare system whether you like it or not, its gonna happen"

Yeah thank you very much asshole.

  • ...or else...because "he won"
