And right now TVs are only advancing to 3D, they're not getting better graphically as far as we know, and if a TV doesn't come along that can handle a higher pixel count, like a PC monitor can, than it wouldn't matter if the next consoles are better graphically, because your TV wouldn't be able to display it.

nintendo was not ahead of their time. At all! the coleco arcade console which came out in 197X had a light gun. The very first video game console the magnavox odyssey which was released in 1972 had a light rifle that mad the zapper loke like a squirt gun.

Shooting games aren't bad. You can generalize everything just you generalize them.

Most platformers can be generalized into three things or a combination of the three.

Running(Sonic)

Shooting(Megaman, Contra)

Jumping(Everything else.)

Too bad that if anyone generalized a platformer they'd be treated like the Anti-Christ with Swine Flu.

Also, I think video games aren't toys. Maybe those "Gadget(Maxis Games)" genre games are toys, but not things like FPS games.

As he said, when you press the trigger, the whole screen goes black, except for the targets, which become light white squares. A Light sensor in the gun detects them, so you can either shoot the ducks or a light bulb.
