  • Dan Roberts is such an amazing bassist. His bass lines on many of their songs are just amazing.

  • Great song !!!! great music !!!! great singer !!!!

  • My 5 year old now knows the words to all the songs on this album....prob weird him knowing this one tho lol. A relaxing album to listen to in the car.

  • Ellen Reid always looks fantastic.

  • @SpeedOfDark186Kmps Ellen Reid for president!!

  • lousy video....but a great song from a great group

  • Amazing song!!!

  • 9 people have never sampled from anyone's bosom.

  • how can such a short guy have such a deep voice...it makes no sense >.>

  • @Cressx That's just his voice. His hight and the deepness of is voice have nothing to do with each other directly.

  • I know I heard he was short and has a big head..... but I don't care... he's still hot!!! . . ... . .but the music... the music is something... no body else has.... love the crash test dummies

  • hey! come sing with me! tell me how u think i did on my cover of "the psychic"!

    /watch?v=AzXBYOuFKmY

  • Very interesting choice to play the audio like that because videos are to promote the song. Very daring choice for a video. And when will video channels like MuchMusic start playing videos and not just reruns of Degrassi the next Generation?

  • i love brad roberts and his extremely brilliant music abilities. his comical side is easy to love also. he makes me happy when i hear his sweet voice. i have cystic fibrosis,Was a lead singer, percussinist, until my illness stoled my life...my music. BRAD ROBERTS YOU """"""""""" ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CTD

  • This is my favourite CTD song, always cheers me up.

  • Being tall such as 6ft is an advantage in swimming ?

  • ahhh the euphoric dance between a man and a woman truly in love ... where's my Shady these days huh ?!

  • these guys fuckin rock. Goin to see them in VT next month, cant wait.

  • my first ever compact disc, crash test dummies hehe

  • so underrated is this band.

  • I LOVE this song!!!

  • This song reminds me of BP

  • sounds like fleas bass guitar

  • I just saw them live tonight!

  • My favorite from that album ...God Shuffled ... just like my own sunrise I dont find it funny but actually ....kind of sentimental ....

  • Love the bass guitar in this song.

  • @MrShakesFist ...love the bass in all their songs...dan (the singer, Brad's brother) is a horribly under-rated bassist.

  • I love how almost everyone's comment about this song has to do with how they, in some form, made love while listening to it. It's kinda sweet.

  • I made love to my hand more than once listening to this song, thankfully "we" didn't get pregnant

  • Ahhh... I remember making love to my penis during this song. I'll never forget it....

  • my son sebastian was "created" to this song. I remeber it perfectly, I put it on repeat and alllll night long we made love knowing deep down that we were "accidently" getting pregnant....

  • I used to make sweet love to alan wagner while this song was playing <3 Alan Wagner <3 I will love you forever and always

  • good bye my loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I love this song.

One of the things I love about this band is that the lead sings in a low octave which is pretty uncommon. Also, you can sing the vocals in any octave and it works. :)

  • The best road trip I ever had was in the Rockies listening to this CD...aahh...how I miss those days!

  • God Shuffled His Feet is a perfect disc for a drive in the Rockies!

  • Comment removed

  • this is still an awesome track ... the entire CD is well worth buying ... today still ...

  • The Best Of The Best truly mint

  • that chick looked kinda bored

  • That's part of the idea.

  • this was my favorite song from the cd

  • Greeeat!

  • VICKLEMOS ur a legend!!!!!!!!!!! neva cein the video b4 thanx

  • FFS, it's a p*ss take, God's got nothing to do with it. Get over it.

Just after remembered this band after 12 years, bought the tape back in 95 I think, when I was in college. All the best Canada.

  • great song. ellen is super hot.

  • The other day I was talking with some friends who wondered whatever happened to theses guys ? They were different and really could have found a niche had they stuck with it....we still sing theirs songs and think of them.......

  • They just sort of faded away. It's a sad thing, because some of their songs are timeless and sound excellent even by today's standards. Not all great things last forever.

  • I agree. Some bands or artists just keep making music that is not at the standard of when they first started. Better to put out good stuff, and stop than put out good stuff, then five albums of crap.

  • @Chubzdoomer Incorrect, new album comes out in 3 days, utilize wikipedia if you care about an artist.

  • @Igamikun Just because a new album is on its way doesn't mean the band hasn't almost entirely faded away in regards to its popularity and audience.

  • @Chubzdoomer They still put out some albums, Ooooh La La is pretty good, songs like Songbird and Heart of Stone stand up with the best of their material.

  • @Chubzdoomer they've got a new album out, "ooh la la". it's okay, but it's nothing like they were in the 90s. you can tell brad's voice has aged tremendously. plus it has alot of country/folk material like a few of the tracks from "the ghosts that haunt me". the best songs on the album are "heart of stone", "songbird", "now you see her", "put a face", and "paralyzed". give it a listen if you're interested in what they're doing now. i think they're going on tour at the moment as well.

  • @Chubzdoomer People prefer their commercial crap like Lady Ga Ga, or Katy Perry/Kesha (same artist, same voice, same producers, Fucking joke).

  • @Chubzdoomer

Brad Roberts released a solo project under the CTD banner. "I Don't Care If You Don't Mind" a little country, but worth checking out

  • @Chubzdoomer I know that Brad roberts (lead singer) was in a very serious car accident which interrupted the band's popularity. Agreed, great band.

  • @Chubzdoomer They still play around local type venues and theaters. Tonight I'm going to see them for the second time at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, TN. These small shows are great for the fans. I got to meet them and have my picture made the first time, and got all the autographs I wanted! One of my all time favorite bands. They deserve a LOT more commercial success, but it does seem that the best artists usually fly under the radar.

  • @Chubzdoomer They have at least 5 more albums after this one and an Xmas album. Just FYI.

  • @Chubzdoomer well yes some things do!! you just said some tunes are timeless...i'm from quebec ..31 ...and i have people from 19 to 45 that ask me who are those guys that sing......and it's them...timeless i'd say...

  • if you look for god you find him/her/it everywere.

the real problem is every idiot with a cause can use the bible for whatever means they want all they need is lemmings to follow them.

hate man not god. well not hate you get the idea.

  • qgu2ebrv3jrvbeirvbeirhbvbi Religion means bind back binding time back to eternity The now falsehoods die and you awaken to reality...

  • Tipping the velvet?

  • Why are you guys arguing about religion in the first place. The song is about sex.

  • lols...it so is !! and how a mans mind wanders off during it..I dont know if dats true tho !! Hope not ha ha !!

Surely a man needs to have his mind on da job or dats it over.... !! xD HA HA !!

  • Sex IIISSS god :D

  • I feel hot.

  • Why try to find all the symbolism and debate the artist's true meaning? Just enjoy it for what it is. Unique band, enjoyable and educated. Quit being stupid with your inability to simply enjoy and question your inner self if you feel the need.

  • Anyone have any clue as to why the audiance is all old ladies? whats ur feeling on the symbolism used in this vid.?

  • I'd like to ask a couple of questions:

If we all die (and we do), what are you building towards here on earth?

What do you think happens to someone after they die?

  • That is the ultimate question.....without that exact question, there would be no need for science or religion. Besides I think the answer isnt one that we'll ever understand....just experience.

"what we do in this life, echoes an eternity"

  • So we're supposed to pay for eternity, for the faults of the two dumbs who used to live in the Garden of Eden?

A little too much of a punition.

I think God doesn't know the meaning of the words "Commisurated punition"

  • If we reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will pay for the fall of the human race. Because if we are judged by the Law (Ten Commandments), we are hopeless. In thought, word, or deed, we all fail every day of our lives. It isn't about being perfect; it's about believing in the only one who did fulfill the Law perfectly, and paid for all of our sins by His death on the cross.

  • Indeed, IF we are judged by the Law you believe in (or any law put forth by any religion for that matter). But if not, then what? It does not matter, I believe, if any of these are true. People should be respectful to others, take care of their fellow man (or woman) and live together in peace (and working on its future as a species) regardless of their religion/ beliefs. That's my alternative; live together, work together, and build a future for all of us.

  • Listen, you can't express your opinion as fact, thats just plain silly. Principals of religion are not fact or "law" they're more of a theology. It's all on how it's presented to you. Im sure if you grew up in middle east you'd be a muslim, China an atheist, or Israel a Jew. But you're from the good old USA so Christian you are. Don't preach your beliefs on others it's unbecoming.

  • Never go into a battle of wits with people who are not armed my friend, it can be tiresomely repetitive....simply pat them on their head and say "Good lad, have a cookie."

  • good point

  • never view it as a battle of wits or otherwise, well we all view it as we have to prove a point or convince the opposing debater (or side, team, faction, whatever floats your bubbles:) but i view the whole interaction as a sharing (not hippie style, though personally that wouldn't be to tedious to integrate slighty with your philosophies in order to get a small positive spin on things x). no i just try to learn the points of views as just that. point of views.

  • @Sholick what about neutral? your pov pov kinda takes and

uses it as a reality drywall mudfiller filling in all of that space with

    nunya.

  • To: datsundavey333

He doesn't; sin does. People don't realize that everything was made perfect by Him before the first two of mankind fucked it up, thus causing absolute universal turmoil in everything including human behavior (causing train wrecks) and nature (causing tornadoes). If more musicians, like Brad Roberts here, would actually read the Bible they'd have the answers, STRAIGHT UP. Better than spreading confusion, no?

  • pfft. the god and relegion is just made up so ppl have some sort of hope, that will make them get trough the day... science !!!

the bible is a nice story tho.. fiction :)

  • Okay, so what do you suggest as an alternative to Christ Jesus, the only hope the human race has?

  • i wouldn't say that JC is the only hope for the human race, in fact in comparison to the rest of the world, JC is an underdog,

Being a christian is just a religion like the rest of them. they are all just fruits in the loom, and if you have so many questions about your own faith i suggest creating your own beliefs that you consider right, one of my personal philosophies is that if you create your own destiny you start to live it, you have no say once you've passed on.

  • Okay, what is your self-made destiny then?

  • look i wasnt trying to be a dick, i was just offerring some advice....but take this one as you will....

dont look to others for answers involving beliefs, if you do then there not really yours..

  • ...and here I was thinking you made your own destiny. How foolish.

  • okay...whatever your obviously a waste of time...good luck with all your dumb questions you'll never find answers for,

im so glad im not stuck being a person with a mentality like yours, haha

if you actually thought for yourself, you would contribute more to the conversation, later biotch ;-)

  • If everything was created perfect by a perfect being, then logically it couldn't have gone from perfect to imperfect (absolute turmoil) unless that perfect being wanted it that way.

  • My mistake, I shouldn't have used the word "absolute" in that statement.

  • best band ever

  • why DOES god cause things like tornadoes and train wrecks, anyway?

  • It is something for all Christians to wonder about.

  • what god you sad fool

  • ? I don´t understand what you mean? Are you trying to say that datsundavey333 didn´t spell God with a capital G?. Are you inclining that I am a Christian?

  • ok, i think that comment has gone too far, he asked a question you commented back, the third guy insinuated there is no god and you made an ass of yourself

  • Well, since he responded to my response I assume it was directed to me and not datsundavey333. The only thing that you can assume is that people are trying to supress others. You, pivotset2, datsundavey333 and everybody is free to believe whatever they choose to believe. I don´t think that I made an ass of myself just because I don´t presume what another person is trying to say. And regarding my first comment: a religious question is for religious people to ponder about.

  • well there is no god keke? and if you believe there is. proof it

  • Old lady at 1:22 looks like the one in the FreeCreditReport commericals.

  • good music but he looks like hes been sucking on butt

  • Does anyone else miss the 90's or am I just stuck in a dead end of melocholy and the infinite sadness?

  • Join the club pal.

  • many of us are stuck in the melancholy and the infinite sadness, you are not alone

  • there still around but pretty old i think im not totaly sure

  • mna i love these guys they are legends dose any 1 no if they are still around sorry if its a stupid question but they are abit befor my time

  • Ben Darvill is hilarious.

  • Crash test dummies rules

  • the drummer came 2 my school today

  • This is me and my man's song. Never have seen this eclectic video...glad its not literal or gratuitous. Beautifully written song.

  • thanks for this- haven't heard it in ages.

  • Beautiful...the song made me cry!

  • Helen looks enchanting in this video, and that sexy pout she has , well if all canadian chicks are just as pretty ,i,ll emigrate.!!!!5/5

  • The keyboard chic is a real honey and talented too, good mellow music , whats the rush with the lead singer? maybe a hot date...5/5...

  • I've been enjoying CTD for years, but I've never seen many of these videos (YouTube is awesome!). I've always liked this song, but what an outstanding video as well ,just great.

  • I want a T-shirt of these guys. Really.

  • Was a sharp looking guy back then, a shame he let himself go, saw him on a special about a year ago, he got less hair and a bit of a gut :) dah well, still got the voice

  • Fantastic! There will never be another Crash Test Dummies....the one, the only.

  • That's cause he almost died dick.

  • Maravilloso grupo, debieron de haber seguido, siempre se acaba lo bueno y la proqueria sigue ahi

  • the lead singer is sexxy xD i love his long hair!!!

  • If any of you knew a simple C scale you would realize the pure genius of this Band and not focus on one part.

  • how true, how true. I love this song madly to this day for its simplicity, yet gentle harmony and genius - as you said, C-scale genius.

  • i meant to reply to your comment, but beer and all. See above.

  • il gruppo più sottovalutato del mondo

  • My favourite CTD song. Not crazy about the video, but thanks for posting it.

  • I'm trying to figure out Ellen's expression during 1:30-1:32. Is it...jealousy?

  • At first, Brad Roberts sounds like a really cheesy heavy metal singer, but it grows on you. The songs are brilliant.

  • A cheesy heavy metal singer? Really? I would say he probably sounds the opposite from a cheesy metal singer, at least on the complete opposite end of the spectrum when compared to a high falsetto yell.

  • Classic. I sometimes get distracted too. o.O

  • Haha I have this album. It's great.

  • Had this album... sold it... bought it again, thank god for that

  • When I die...I want God to have the same voice as Brad...it is simply divine, that's also why the songs are a masterpiece

  • you deserve a chocolate fish Vicklemos - an extraordinary album completely missed by nearly everyone. the canadian explosion. all that stuff about ducks flying south, hysterical

  • GSHF is a brilliant album

  • About 12 years ago I bought this album, just because of MMM MMM MMM. The first time I listened to it, I just fell in love with all the tracks. Brads has a fantastic voice, and his songs are really different. They´re not widely known in Brazil, and when my friends listen to these songs, they always enjoy and want to know who they are. Just now I had the opportunity of watching his videos.

"God shuffled his feet" is one of the most fantastic albuns I've ever listened to.

  • this song cracks me up, he's basically explaining that he has add while lovemaking. haha sampling from your bosom line gets me too. I love this song.

  • a.d.d rather yep

  • mdrrrrr excellente vidéo, et d'abord excellente chanson!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome, loved it. I'm Canadian and I understand what the video is getting at. I think you have to be Canadian in order to understand the Dummies' videos. Hope I don't sound like a low brow elitist ha ha.

  • He must not be so into the lovin' if he's so easily distracted... I laugh every time I hear this song :)

  • It's funny, I've had their albums and never seen any of the videos. I must admit I'm not impressed with the videos. They don't really match the mood, or what I get out of the songs. But then we all relate music to different things and memories, etc... oh well.

  • Man. These guys are incredible. I had only heard their song "MMMM MMMM MMMM" up until recently. This is truly a gem.

  • Love it. Takes me back to the good ol days.

  • Your not kidding, those were the days

  • i listened to this thousands of times over and over.

  • This was my favorite CTD song, it's still one of my favorite songs ever.

  • on of the best album´s ever :)

  • i totaly agree love it

  • Does the word satire ring a bell with you people?

  • wow this baritone is one of the biggest hippies i've ever seen..

  • I'm wondering why so many people are saying this song doesn't fit the video. The song is about a guy whose mind drifts during sex; how serious a video could be done about that?

  • Brad Roberts always has funny expressions in all the CTD videos. I love it!

  • google it, they have a website, sounds like they're still around to some extent or another...wikipedia says they did a tour last year..wow...i remember this band from the early HS years but never guessed they'd still be around...always figured they were a 1-hit wonder (mmm, one hit wonder....) but i guess they are still going

  • Does anyone know if CTD are still together?
