@kingdomheartsfan108 Most (like this one) are harmless, some have the ability to produce some nasty chemicals for self defence...but yeah generally harmless to humans..and they are friendly...you just have to have the courage to handle them (which I didn't have)...so I handled it with sticks/leaves..I have seen many kids handle them..smaller ones though
hes not really dancing hes mimicing the wind in the tree so he can move with out being seen.v hes probly scared and thinks if he does that the person video taping this couldnt se him trying to get away to a safe spot.

My whole life I only saw one...it stayed in the van after a camping trip but it kinda freaked me out at the time so I just put it in the grass next to a tree and left it.
i remember seeing one twice that size ( maybe more) about 2 years ago, i thought it was just a stick so i went to pick it up and it moved, scared the shit outa me...

..in australia we have eucalyptus leaves ..and most insect species feed on them..i am unsure about the types of trees you guys have ..but the trees around where you find insects are often a good indication of what they feed on ...just keep an insect in a large container with holes ( i made one for it out off a polystyrene box i had)..put in a few twigs and wet leaves from different plants...try this for a day and observe which type of leaves the insect eats...and use them
@axolotlwithexotics Im from and in Engalnd, any type of leaf, Try apple tree leaves. If they dont eat some within 1-2 days, leave it in there becuase they will use it as their dry shelter
@axolotlwithexotics You shouldn't worry about keeping them around, they find small insects around your house to eat, including spiders.:) They are good to have.
@NishcheyNayar Song name ^^ BTW I also had 4 of these as pets but too bad 2 of them died, but i'm trying to do asmuch as possible to let the others live. :(
It's called a Phasmatodea!
