Hi, I would like to make a point here, as a brazikian dance teacher in UK I struggle to avoid the cheap cliche that this movement represent, I advise you to make an "L" shape with your legs when gping down as this "laying an egg" movement can exist among the powerfull mulatas but its not something flattering or worth it to be passed, specially when trying to change the clichet that samba already brings, leaving the beauty and strenght ( atittude)in 2nd place.

of course I can! you place the front leg ( the right for instance) pointing north and the leg behind ( left one) facing the side, with this you can go down and not lose the prominent and proud posture you are performing, most of all, keeping the flow of the movement rather than rising up without control.
