This is not a gasification stove. It is a wood burning stove. You need to have a charge of wood or coal in an enclosed (not sealed) chamber that can heat up but not get oxygen. Then the wood or coal gives off gases that burn. When you are done, the off-gassed wood has turned into charcoal.
@henchman99942 Yes it is a gasifier but I understand you're confusion. There is an inner chamber where the air is drawn in from the bottom. The wood pyrolyzes and the gases are drawn up the narrow channel between the inner and outer can, where it hits the air and combusts, hence the gas flames emanating from each hole drilled around the upper circumference of the inner can. Your question is feasable, It already exist. It's called a down draft gasifier. From 1940 to 1945 they use this down draft gasifier to fuel their cars in western Europe. Because of the second world war, they had a fuel shortage so they powered their cars and many other types of vehicules with the down draft gasifier, using wood as a fuel source.
what is the weight of total fuel used and how long did they burn on the whole ?
