I know Windows inside and out. Because I develop software, its flaws were very apparent to me and very annoying. I made the risky move of buying an unfamiliar iMac, and it was the best computer decision of my life.
If you like Windows, stick with it. If you are annoyed by its flaws, don't be afraid to buy a Mac like I was.

dude apple advertising is all false crap they make up. like for example the commercial with the pc guy spending money on advertising instead of fixing vista. for one vistas almost completely reliable as xp now. Plus how much do you really think they have to spend on going around asking people if they are a pc or a mac? and at least windows doesn't have to bash in order to sell their products. (now i admit they make a good phone but that's about it)
Honestly... the first time I saw one of those "I'm a PC commercials and compared it to the mac commercials i was like.. wow all Mac can do is put down the competitors to sell more product. And the windows commercials don't say anything bad about macs. Also, pc's are more customizable in their UI and their Hardware. For example, if you want to get a new gfx card, upgrade your RAM or something like that it's alot easier to do things with it.
I'm a PC and I've never experienced any of these crashes, freezes, nothing. It runs better than XP, lets me do more, and looks nicer. What's so bad about Vista?

I really don't understand how they're more expensive. If you compare a Mac with a Dell XPS of the same price, you'll find that the iMac has much better specs. And if you get the XPS, you still have to find a keyboard, mouse, and printer.
You'll also have to run on a shitty OS that will cost you hundreds of dollars, then you'll probably want to switch back to an OS from 2001. I'll be getting the new Mac OS for $30 in September. Have fun praying for Windows 7.

PC's are IBM PC clones, which were business machines designed to run dBases and spreadsheets.

Vista copied Mac OS X (Changing walpapers in Vista is the same in Mac OS X and copied all other stuff too) and Linux (The Icons in Vista is a copy of a set from Linux, and how you log in)

The reason why people hate Vista was because of the beta and early release stages. Back then there were compatibility issues for both hardware and software and Vista constantly crashed. Now I use it and I have no problems so far, I think Vista was rushed and got a bad reputation from doing that.
There are still a few things that Vista needs improving on but now its usuable and it would be more of a hassle to downgrade to XP because Vista is ok for now.
True, but i think people who are not weak-minded would not be majorally influenced by these commericials and would be smart enough to see the pro and cons of both OSs. Then choose what they like and want to use, and most likely also use the other OS with it too. I like both mac ads and pc ads but i've never bought a mac because well... i dont know really. I'm a Mac and I think I'm the only one that realizes that Windows is behind on Mac again. It took them three years to catch up to Mac's quality of advertisement, just like their OS did.
Do you know who saved Apple from going bust? When Apple was about to go under Bill Gates made Mac OS 2 which is the piece of software that saved apple. I think I might just play a little TF2 now, mabe COD4 or CS:S or Crysis or Grid or Bioshock or GTA or UT3 or ET:QW or HL2 etc... You get the point. If Apple weren't so lazy mabe they'd bother to code their OS better and add support for decent hardware and some games.

True, but i think people who are not weak-minded would not be majorally influenced by these commericials and would be smart enough to see the pro and cons of both OSs. Then choose what they like and want to use, and most likely also use the other OS with it too. I like both mac ads and pc ads but i've never bought a mac because well... i dont know really. Im planning on downloading from the internet tho :D

hahahahaaaa! i love it. yeah, took a while, but a good uppercut. the "i'm a mac" commercials were ridiculous.
a mac = PC with a different OS.

well, i guess that kind of describes me, but i'm also a 4th yr medical student who uses a thinkpad because my med school/hospital uses a windows-based computing environment. it is what it is.

This is the way i put it down. When it comes to laptops.I pic Mac. When it comes to home computers,PC. When it comes to commercials,PC!! I think its hilarious how they took part of the mac commercial concept and formed a basis for a very intelligent commercial. I love them! Especially the im a pc and ive been stereotyped.

Aren't they all just PERSONAL COMPUTERS?! In any case, glad Windows came out with this ad, just pissed with people who bought Apple's PERSONAL COMPUTERS cause they always say that Vista is no good when they don't even know how to install an application on any OS. Damn sheeps!

I'm a Mac and I think I'm the only one that realizes that Windows is behind on Mac again. It took them three years to catch up to Mac's quality of advertisement, just like their OS did.

Do you know who saved Apple from going bust? When Apple was about to go under Bill Gates made Mac OS 2 which is the piece of software that saved apple. I think I might just play a little TF2 now, mabe COD4 or CS:S or Crysis or Grid or Bioshock or GTA or UT3 or ET:QW or HL2 etc... You get the point. If Apple weren't so lazy mabe they'd bother to code their OS better and add support for decent hardware and some games.

A) We have lots of games. The most popular PC games include WoW, Starcraft, The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Civilization, Age of Empires and Command and Conquer.
B) Who cares what Bill Gates did for Apple? Your basically just letting me know that Apple has been going strong lately.
C) I'm not against Microsoft. I think the Xbox 360 rocks. But Windows is inferior to Mac.
