@DJReam28 Bioshock 2, you rescue them untill they give you the tonic that gives more adam per harvest... then harvest for the rest of the game.... MAXAMUM ADAM!!!!
@DJReam28 I harvested them after a glitch in Minerva's Den that made them cry, even after picking them up. If I hadn't killed Steinman in the first, I would have thrown the crying little girl to him.
1.(narratology) A narrative that is written after another narrative set in the same universe, especially a narrative that is chronologically set after its predecessors, or (perhaps improper usage) any narrative that has a preceding narrative of its own." -Wiktionary
Bioshock is a masterpiece. All who call it "a dinosaur, some old game with shitty graphics"... May shot themselves. World will be better without them.
Actually, to everyone talking down to the future skies of Infinite, consider that Ken Levine, the mastermind behind this game, is involving himself with Infinite's development. He is a great writer and designer. He is partially why Bioshock was better than Bioshock 2. :]
@ASleeplessWolf I'm not going to trashtalk on infinite, I already made that mistake once when I thought Bioshock 1 would suck, and it is now one of my favorites, but they'll still make a 3rd bioshock right. Interested to see how infinite ties into bioshock, columbia to rapture.
What do hear in this song, the sorrow of uncountable deaths and the despair of an idea that gave birth to the city Rapture; but also, the joy that a savior is amongst these harrowing halls, one that can bring an end to the cruel fortune of this once majestic place.
@oldskoolrocker1000 the thing is, infinite is supposed to give us a different feeling than eerie, from what ive been able to gather, itll be more awe than eerie ness
This piece is soooo creative and nice! In the beginning, it's like a reality where you afraid of all these things, but then you start to enter some dreaming phase where you realize that all those things that you were afraid of, weren't so scary at all! Finally near the end it brings you back to the scary reality xD
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily inspired by the world and music of the Bioshock game series. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
There is no other game i have ever felt so immersed in, no other game i have ever fell in love with the story like this, no other game that awakes such a real emotion inside of me, there is no other like bioshock
Bioshock is one of the best games ever created, the music brings you into almost a different realm. While freaky in some spots, the music makes you feel.... happy...
You also hear this when you rise to the surface at the end of bio2. Its so beautiful. You hang on the pod, and you look down, and see rapture beneath you, while you rise. Its incredible.
and then father, the Rapture dream was over. You taught me that 'evil' is just a word. Under the skin, it's simple pain. For you, mercy was victory. You sacrificed, you endured, and when given the chance, you forgave. Always. Mother believed this world was irredeemable, but she was wrong, Father. We are Utopia, you and I, and in forgiving, we left the door open for her.
didn really notice it in the first bioshock, but it came up when the ending of bioshock 2 came up, where elanor decided to kill or not to kill lamb...everyhtin synched up perfectly and its the most beautiful and the most awesome moment of videogame history..this piece deserves an award
Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but pity Andrew Ryan sometimes. although he has a very twisted way of thinking and he's responsible for many of the deaths of Rapture's citizens, this is a man who tries to do something great but ultimately fails from it, thus bringing his beloved city to ruin and his own death.
This is truly an amazing game that is unlike any other.
@oldmusic138 Bioshock the movie will have a big Hype but I doubt it will be amazing, the interactive-ness of the game makes it scary not the game itself
@Elitecommander0 Actually, they really confirmed BioShock 3 before they even confirmed BioShock 2. 2K referred to the BioShock franchise in 2007 as becoming GTA-like in release structure over the years. By that logic, BS3 is a foregone conclusion. Thematically speaking BS2 is very open to a sequel.
@gruntyking117 They never really 'confirmed' it. Just said that if inspiration strikes then they will go for a third game. I don't blame people for being skeptical though, 1 & 2 will be very hard to follow indeed.

this pretty much describes Jack; how his real identity was revealed, how in actuality he is 2-3 years old, how he got that tattoo on his right wrist, and how he his family and home was fake, and when he found out his purpose in rapture, to be bred as a weapon. Jack can only take so much before he cracks.
