Sure it's gotten a lot better, but the reason iPhones were so good in the first place was that steve jobs was a perfectionist. Clearly, the same cannot be said about the guys making android phones

The iPhone learns to correct "mistaken" words into words that you have typed in before which according to them is incorrect because it isn't a real word. Example: I text my friend about the town I live in. The phone doesn't know that the name of my town is being discussed, so it counts it as incorrectly spelled. It also doesn't have anything to correct it with. So next time I say the town's name, the phone just assumes it is spelled right.

What's even more lame is that I had an original iPhone on day 1, and thought te auto-correct thing was funny, cause it had all those bad words in there already! It helped me out typing 'motherfucker' the first time I typed it! They removed it all in an update! O, and it used to learn better too. Now it's horrible! Try typing '3ds' on an iPhone, can't be done! It insists on making it '3rd' it doesnt even highlight it as if it might be wrong like usual, IT JUST CHANGES IT!!!

I know this is a little late, but I have an android from metro POS and it likes to add my misspelled words to its dictionary so, if I accidentally put "abour" instead or "about", it will put "abour" in the damn dictionary and I have to physically delete that word because it's automatically used when I use the swype board to type "about" it does this for all kinds of words and it pisses me off
