Seriously nice little both side turner :D But its weird :))) I'll always feel like i will fall over in front :) And ... Its like you're doing a moonwalk all the time ;))
@thewritt Really . Now that kind of wheel size you'll pedal to sweat and bearly moving . But then again , he never said its a mountain bike :P If you live on Everest , thats your problem :P He count and cash up the money , The rest is your deal :P
It does look unnatural, like he has to concentrate just to stay upright. Worst case scenario: you take your eyes off the road and then someone honks....game over.
The guy is Irish - as in Ireland. He is an engineer by training. It is like sitting up right and walking, more or less. The front and back wheels turn independently - and a unicyle saddle is used. Sounds cool to me.. easy to get on and off with no more leg swinging. Check out wired dot com...

The bike isn't really sideways. Only the rider is.

on the contrary this looks a much better posture to be riding with than bent over the frame which after a while quite hurts my back

the good thing is: no one could ever steal that bike. :D

I think it could be a great way to ride after visiting the cofee shops. I want one!

Awesome but good luck riding that thing uphill. The wheel sizing and gear system would give you some severe resistance.

well, i guess it's not about the point but about a diff personal choice :) well, any1 has the right to do whatever he likes as long as it's legal.

See no point to it. Centre of balance is off. Think the designer has been on too many spliffs.

Sometimes you just have to beg the question.
Why.
However, I want one.

This is more of a proof of concept, I hope. I can't see what use it is to ride sideways like that.

It would have been more interesting if he was doing big sideways wheelies.... oh well

I swear I've seen this same guy in Cambridge, MA riding over the Mass Ave. Bridge. He must have been working at MIT for a spell.

"The guy is Irish - as in Ireland."
Pardon me, but wouldn't that be the Land of Ire?
I was taught that the Irish came from the Land of Ire.

Cool, but looks to be an unnatural way to ride a bike.
