i hate the red wings now since they play dirty but i was so glad they beat the avalanche since the avalanche a year before that beat the devils, but yea i still admitt the red wings are the best team in the NHL and always were

What an allstar team the Wings had in 02. They had the same players the next season and couldn't get back to the SCF. What a disappointment. :p

This was a great series. I remember watcing this in 7th grade and one of my teachers was an Avs fan. I remember waking up from a nap to see the score 6 to 0.

My parents had friends coming over to watch this game. They were about 15 minutes late of the start. The game was already over, and nothing made me more happy than to tell them that the wings were going to the stanley cup 5 minutes into the game as they walked in the door. if anybody knows where to find a video of at least the first period of this game, I would greatly appreciate some notice
