That's a booboo, lol lol, and he was strapped to the toilet, ah ah ah.... lol lol lol, Harvey was the funniest man alive, this was one of my favorites skits in the world, so happy I
found this.....thank you.....I'm still laughing....gonna watch it again.....
@shovelmom42 Me too!!! Wonder if Harvey could have pulled off the role of Quint if Robert shaw hadn't taken it! It would have been more fun while they were waiting for the fishy to work! Bruce was a union shark.
He was very subtly pulling off an improvisation along with a jab at Harvey; the "good luck ham" was not just the obvious joke of the silliness of a woman carrying a ham around for good luck, and so of course a shark would go after her, but he was also teasing Harvey for being a 'ham actor'; over-playing the role of "Quid". The man was a master; Harvey immediately picked up on it, and once again, could not maintain composure. Tim Conway was one of a kind!
I didn't even notice or realize that. That's absolutely brilliant. But Harvey's portrayal was brilliant too, because by hamming it up, he was able to better mock the movie. Sometimes it takes an over-the-top portrayal. Not always but sometimes.
That in itself was so funny all the time. Especially when Tim tried (and succeeded) in making Harvey crack up. The dentist sketch comes to mind. This show is pure gold.
There was another skit that I just loved. Well, actually, there's two I can think of. One was a take-off on "Cinderella", and it guest starred The Pointer Sisters. The other was a take-off on "The Exorsist, starring Vicky in the Linda Blair roll. It was hilarious too. If anyone has either of these clips, I would love it if it were posted. These shows are so awesome. Thank goodness for You Tube.

HARVEY KORMAN!!! The best thing to ever happen to comedy! :)

In the Show Stoppers DVD, there is an outtake of Tim actually laughing during the 'lucky ham' line. He barely got it out before cracking up.
In this clip, Harvey looks at him like he's waiting (and wanting) Tim to crack up again. LOVE IT. RIP dear Harvey.

One of the very best Carol Burnett skits. I love that line: my granddaddy worked in the sewer. My daddy worked in the sewer. The sewer's in my blood!
