  • are these keyboards hard to play or learn to play? it looks so complex but good job!!

  • They are much easier to learn and play. They are isomorphic, meaning the same fingering in any key, which allows one to learn one's musical ideas be they scales, arpeggios, chords, or runs, in 1/12 the time of a piano on which one would have to learn them once for each key. This allows one to move past the technichalites of fingerings which have nothing to do directly with musical expression and move onto expression earlier on. It's simple but alien to those familiar with only the piano.

  • Wow, very, very cool. I enjoyed hearing it and a especially enjoyed seeing it played. Thanks so much. The keyboard is a genius idea. I wish they were avaiable in the states too. Perharps you would consider starting a Yahoo! Group to discuss the keyboard, music and your experiences?

  • how many octaves does this inst have?

  • To the keyboard size of 61 keys, the chromatic system ( Muto method) realizes 71 keys. you wanna play it ?

  • I'd like to play it! Where can I buy one...does chromatone sell them online? I can't find a place that sells them online...and if they do how much do they cost in US dollars.
