I was having this same problem, even after I installed Quicktime 7. I got frustrated and went around looking for a solution. I then realized I forgot to restart Vegas. Now it works. Thanks for the tutorial anyway! :D

this was the most awkward thing ive done in a long time. this video didnt really help at all because vegas tells u to install quicktime which is very basic to do. anyways i done that and i still would work so i tried updating quickime, still didnt work. eventually it worked by restarting my computer but oh wait the entire clip turned black!! to fix that you then have to update sony vegas you do that by clicking on help>sony on web>latest updates. it now works for me (finally.) hope this helps u

@ninjutarstick It depends what version of Sony Vegas you are using. If you are using Sony Vegas 8 You need an older version of quicktime which i believe is 7.55? Google it. But the newest version of quicktime wont show your videos in vegas

once you download the quicktime installer and it still doesnt work. try updating the quicktime software, then it should be fully compatible with vegas pro 10 and all your mov. files should work. cheers, aye? ;D

For all the people having troubles, if it still does not work. Just simply download Any Video Converter, (google it) and change the format type. Its a lot easier and less complicated. Thanks for watching.
