  • i know im asking a lot and I really hope you respond but as I try and figure out this shuffle, it seems your doing a 1 draw to 2 draw bend 2 draw 3 draw 2 draw then kinda a 1 draw 2 draw bend slide x2 and then 2 draw? if this is right that means your playing B F G B G BF BF G? how does this work for the IV also? I think i know why the I dues to the G but shouldnt the IV involve and center the C note? or am i completely lost. only been playing about 4 months so very possible

  • I know this is a lot but just maybe do a very similiar video to this but as you add on, kinda let us into that brilliant head and describe what your thinking and why your going there or why your heart knows to lead you there.. and maybe where we shouldnt go. Thanks again, amazing videos and your helping me sooo much thank you sir. I dont have much money at all so its great to have amazing harp players helping right here on you tube

  • Ronnie I loved this video, but as a beginner, and I watched every video thus far leading up to this. I dont really uderstand what your doing... I know u said its the I IV V in G so I think that means its the GCD? and then its played over a simple repititive guitar but your not explaining the genious behind this, whats going on in your head, why your playing this note or that note and y it works and what doesnt. Y does this note relate to this note or why your going here or there.

  • apparantly that 1 person was justin beaver

  • wow...!!!

  • Would love to see more this kinda step-by-step building up tutorials. Makes it very easy to follow :))

  • it may sound idiotic but whats the riff his playing

  • I think the original is something like 1draw, 2drawbend , blue third, 2 draw. then he adds some stuff, (I gota go over this video and see if I can transcribe what he's done, sounds pritty kickass)

  • Uhh thanks for this video it was great help combined with all the other things you taught me. Luckily i understand guitar more than harp to get the backing track. I just love improvising with my Honer Pro harp in C.

  • finally something simple I can work with.. thanks so much.

Still cannot get that 5 draw/bend trick you did there.

  • @Chrizzy77 5 DRAW BEND IS SIMPLE get yourself a 350 pro harp by suzuki their 40 quid with delivery from HARMONICAS DIRECT, and you will find its simple very easy but dont put to much force in the draw bend or you will prob mess the harp reed up.

  • thank you very much for this lesson. funny you said, that "you gotta remember what you played, but thats not so hard...". :D

  • Very nice teaching lesson. I really like this!

But I can't get to this little fast part made of three notes. Looks like the 5 draw, 5 blow, 4 draw and all over again. Could you please explain slowly how this is done.

    Thanks again.

  • It is his awesome 4 draw bent, 4 draw unbent, 5 draw repeat repeat repeat!

  • OOPS, I think you are talking about later in the lesson, and I think he plays 5 draw, 5 draw slightly bent, 4 draw, repeat, repeat, etc. The 5 draw does bend slightly, but I have ruined that reed doing it before.

  • @lewiss66 The book i bought 101 BLUES RIFF'S , help out loads with small short fast and slow riff's from many players and diff styles, i learnt a few from it and these short fast draw note riffs are all on sonny boy williamsons page and something power? im still playing through it but i try and go through the book every two weeks learning page 1 to 52 the first week and so on until they stick. hope this helps

  • @lewiss66 It is 5b draw scoop to 5 draw 5 blow(short) 4draw and then.......

    5b draw scoop to 5 draw 5b draw scoop to 5 draw 5 blow(short) 4draw .......

  • very good video ronnie gave me a huge help on just slowing down and not trying to overplay by playing to fast

  • good lesson ronie,cheers

  • Thanks for the mention Ronnie, great vid on progression!
