  • there's a triplet played on the double kick from count 5-7. why cant a find a video with the triplet!!!?

  • check out hypercussion's version of this song he sucks

  • Awesome cover man! It's pretty hard to do from the get-go, but try adding a second kick after the doublestroke on the snare. Again, good job!

  • I got the Led Zep drumming book and they transcribe it as in 9/8 to 4/4, and it has one measure of 3/4 going back into 9/8

  • Great job. I think there is a slight miss on the bass drum and hi hat. You got the parts down perfectly.

  • how long have you been playing for

  • i have trouble on the truplets he does in the chorus

  • There is a bass drum missing indeed.

  • There is a bass drum missing indead.

  • No, "The Ocean" goes from 4/4 time to 7/8 time on the verses and just 4/4 time on the choruses.

  • you like zeppelin? AND the red sox?? your AWESOME!

  • It would sound better if ya turned the music on higher. I so badly want to get a drum set. I have gone to guitar center to play a little. But you are 100x better than me! Love this Zeppelin tune very much. bonham was the greatest drummer. Neil Peart would sound better if he was playing Zeppelin Stuff. Hope ya get into a BAND SOMEDAY! God Bless!

  • i have a sick version of the crunge that bonham would have liked he he

  • that is beastly. Much more simple than I thought it would be.

  • Impressive

  • Nailed it! Hard to tell how old you are from your vid, but you seem young. Anyways, it's great seeing the next generation of great drummers playing with Bonzo. In 200 years Led Zep will be just as famous as Motzart is today!

  • on the opening kick snare snare kick kick beat, youre missing the double kick after the double on the snare, THE DOUBLE KICK I TELL YOU!

  • Excellent Job!

  • Good Job !!

  • i like that snare sound and ur hihat technique

  • sounds good!

  • there's definitely a bass drum being missed out from this. good though

  • yeah the second bass drum hit is after the double snare hits in the main 9/8 groove (the & of 1) - where the groove starts... bonzoleum has a great vid on it if you want, and the turn arounds are wrong from the 5/8 back into the groove, it starts immediately into the double snare double bass part i was talking about, but instead of a hi-hat bark its a hit on the crash... whew, there is one other thing (in the 9/8 there's more 16ths on the hats, but I do don't do them so I won't bitch about that

  • Awesome cover

  • Challenging song, you rocked it. Crunge is an awesome track. Bonham was a genius.

  • its alright. good for your age. BOSTON BLOWS ASSHOEL!!

  • I'm pretty sure the beat ends with a double hit on the base drum on the closing of the second hi hat crush

  • Yeah, that one tiny note adds so much drive and funk to the song. I wouldn't have known exactly what was missing until you pointed it out. But nonetheless, good job; I know that it can be especially hard to keep time on drums while listening to a recording because sometimes it's drowned out...

  • it does

  • work that high hat pedal

  • Nice job. Not an easy song to get that beat down.

  • wrong

  • dis is a hard song even wen it is in 9/8 and other time signatures good job but its not exact. it still sounds good

  • that is one really hard song to play, i can play that song but not as gd as that.. u did a really great job

  • AND damn i gotta learn drums i only play guitar piano and bass

  • hey thanks for the backing track i already got the guitar and the bass :)

  • cool cover i like the sound of the drum bass

  • no not perfect at all, i've been drumming for years, the first is way harder on the bass pedal and hi hat

  • Snare just sounds a little tight in the beginning, but perfect other than that

  • after you open the hats once and the hit the snare its two open hits but that is just what i hear great job this song is fun to play.

  • what a great choice of song from Led Zeppelin. A very good and under rated song. You should maybe do Were Gunna Grove or the Rover.

    Nice vid :D

  • We're Gonna Grove is such an underrated song!

  • this isnt wre gonna grove...lol its the crunge of the houses of the holy album

  • there are some ghosts in the main beat in 5 that you missed

  • very good, work on your right foot more, sometimes it wasnt accurate enough.

  • is that song in 5? like 5/4

  • no, it switches between 9/8 and 4/4

  • @Jul1592 Is "The Ocean" 7/9?

  • @MarkusGronroos I think "The Ocean" switches between 15/8 and 8/4

  • @gildigol yeah I ment 7/8, not 7/9 but ok your right it should switch between 15/8 and 8/4 or something... whatever :D

  • @Jul1592 I know that this comment is 2 years old, but it actually switches between 9/8 and 5/4

  • @jimihendrixtribute it actually switches between 9/8, 4/4, 5/8, and 2/4 throughout, though the majority is in 9/8 or 4/4

  • @Jul1592 @jimihendrixtribute No no no no! 9/8 is specific to 3x3 beats (i.e. compound triple time), implying an equal meter. this doesn't occur here - the '9/8' section is actually either 4/4 4/4 1/4 or 4/4 5/4 - this is apparent in the verses, whilst the chorus has 7x4/4s followed by a 5/4. Excellent job with the drumming - whatever the time signature(s).

  • very well done sounds gr8. the bass drum sounds nice

  • the second beat on the bass is supposed to be a double

  • yeah it is but it still sounds good, good cath though

  • yo nice cover dude . u from boston to , i am yo how long did it take u to learn this song ?

  • No, not from Boston, just a Sox fan. To learn it? A day to get it down. Then another to record.

  • @Jul1592 I know of all the hassles of recording this song on the drums trust me it took like 2 hours to get mine. from the crazy beats to the hectic time signature breaks.

  • @Jul1592 YOUR PLAYING IT WRONG !!!

  • do u have/use a double bass peddle?

  • nope. this is all just a single pedal
