@timercola I enquired about that, and they wanted to charge me for it. I was between checks at the time, couldn't part with what they wanted. I stayed in a village for a couple days.
I like your vids regarding your teaching experience in China, they are refreshingly honest. Would you ever return to teaching in China ? I'm seriously considering teaching in China myself.
Hey, listen... I know a lot of people gave you the whole "stop whining" schtick but a lot of people--like me--are really looking for info from people like you. So, can you please tell me, even if it was a year ago, WHAT exactly was "not nice" about Zhengzhou? Real facts. Too polluted? People unfriendly? High "hallooo" factor? All the stares get annoying? It sounds to me you were experiencing a certain amount of culture shock in that vid, hope you're enjoying yourself by now, bro! :)
@TheEternalTriumphant I suppose I'll ignore the really awful comments you left me on my other videos and answer your question. Henan province is the most populous province in China. So even though a city like Zheng Zhou has less people than say Wuhan, the population density is higher, so it seems like more. Zheng Zhou was in a state of development when I got there ... so it was in pretty rough shape, perhaps that has improved. They also had me staying on the poor side of town.
@goemonronin So there were walls tagged everywhere and such. Everyone is slightly more country than say Wuhan, and there is a lot more defecating and pissing in the street as far as I could tell. The hello factor is as high as anywhere else, this is easily the most noisy city i have been in with no major construction near by. Everyone gets going at like 6 am and they aren't quiet about it in any way. On the plus side, some of the best noodles in China are found in Zheng Zhou. Cheap beer.
@goemonronin I got mugged in this city coming back to my hotel from an internet cafe, like I said I was on the rough side of town, bunch of Xin Jiang guys. Not that I have anything against people from Xin Jiang, but that is what they were. Oh this is a good city to get squid BBQ all day and other meats at night. If there is anything else you wanna know just let me know. Back home now, things kinda suck, but on the rise.
Wow, this hotel is better than some apartments I've seen in China and the bathroom is nice! I'm not doggin ya but I wouldn't mind having this room for 1 month!
ok its simple i like simple aniwey I l watch all videos from zhengzhou to leanrn as much as I can cos I l come soon there and enjoy it!! even the last min notices . thx best regards
are you chris crocker? cuz you sure do look like him and sound like him, and stop whining, i know you uploaded this video like over a year ago, but if your opinion towards the city had really changed, then delete this video instead of ruining the reputation of zhengzhou, since billions of people can see this on the internet, zhengzhou for life
hey asshole I agree wit Iam Shibuya That place is my hometown. I was born there and that is my home. Its way better than Ohio, US thats for sure. Watch your mouth dude!
what do u mean by "this awful little town"?? pay attention to what ur saying, zhengzhou was my hometown n I spend my childhood there. if u don't like it, then get ur ass off of it. stop complainig, its a waste of time for everyone.
I was born in Texas, lived there for 28 years until I came here. I love Texas but you are right about the people being a bit closed minded at times... well most of the time i guess
dont know what you are exatcly complaining ,my poor english ,but you know ,i live in this city too ,it is my hometown,i do think everyone is friendly and lovely ,you maybe not fell so adptable ,but just come on ,my USA teacher tell me he love here very much ,

And if this video was about the rest of the world I wouldn't complain. But it's not it's about me in China and I think what they did to me was shitty, I no longer work for this school
Because they threatened to fire a very good friend of mine. They wanted him to go but he's a student and had other obligations. So it was either I go or he looses his job. Odly enough they fired him anyway.
wondering why he didn't let the hotel wash his clothes.

you give me a lesson by negative example. why do not we enjoy the surroundings? we should change something, but ourselves first.

So what? Are you upset by people telling the truth and not giving Zhengzhou "face?"
You sound like one of the rednecks here who drive trucks, drink beer and say "If you don't love America, leave it!"
Zhengzhou, like much of China, has MAJOR problems, and the fact that people like you can NEVER deal with honesty is why the problems never get better.

I'm sorry if my comment offended u, but I really miss zhengzhou...

I hear ya man. I missed my home when my parents moved me when I was a kid... And I really miss Wuhan. People here in Texas are so close-minded.
