  • Thanx settostun, I watch people of all age groups just fly willynilly and not take the time to think or plan for what ifs. I dont want to scare someone from transition but i do want them to be thought out before and have plans that can reinforce a succesful outcome

  • this is a very good video and addresses a topic that is sometimes overshadowed by our excitement about transitioning . . . thanks for addressing this very important issue

  • Thanks Jenna for your kind words. It sounds like you may kinow some trans people who are not transitioning & who are trying to figure out how to "live in their skins." If so, may I suggest that you do a video on that topic? It would be of great interest to me. Also I wonder if there is any interest, on the part of any of those people, in connecting over the internet, or are any of them already connected somewhere? Perhaps if any of them see this posting, they'll respond. Thanks.

  • Hi Jenna: I'm 1 of the "non-transitioners" you spoke of. I'm 63 now & have no plans to do so. I've been trans all my life & the struggle has led to major depression & several suicide attempts. The struggle seems to get worse the older I get. I'm still trying to figure out how to live with myself as I am (as you mentioned). I did acquire a therapist recently. I'm always glad to find older trans people doing vids. I wish I had found you sooner. Glad I have now. I'll be a subscriber from now on..

  • @Falseharpist ahhh ;>) Well I am glad you are here and although suicide is a quick fix to the problems of living. It is not however a solution that helps the rest of us around you who struggle with the same issues. We all have our ups and downs, good days and bad and the trick is to know they are temporary and to share your troubles with others. Youtube has provided a forum for transfolk to share this unique experience we have in a growing positive manner. We are in this together, always. <3

  • Great Advice... No one is "Termination or Fire Prof" if the manager or supervisor is wanting to build a case to let you go. They just sit back & wait for you to violate a few policies & document them in writing with warnings & you're gone. The job market is so tough right now & there are hundreds of people wanting your job. Transitioning plans should always consider maintaining employment income protection.

    Best Wishes & Stay Safe,

  • @FirehouseMike Truer words have never been spoken,, or as in this case posted. I have seen people with very minor infractions let go for something that is common place in the work place. I also had a friend who worked for a family business that was owned by born again christians that was let go for no reason other then she was trans. She was protected up to the point the husband had a heart attack and died,, then the wife fired her three days later,, just because she could, no reason given

  • great video! And important. One of the reasons why I´m not as far as you. I´m always planning how to do, analyzing the habbitat. Unfortunately working as a teacher, there are limits. But I love my work. Young transpeople! WATCH THIS IN STED OF THE BIG BOOPY VIDEOS, and learn more. Clarissa

  • Ummmm? Wine is good or a pie,, Pillow and jammies. Big Smile I dunno,, whatever you feel like.

  • also, i think i have one of the exact same 15" dell monitor you have, haha

  • it may be beneficial for certain transitioners to move to certain pro-trans places before coming out at work. Only certain areas have gender identity protections and i think its important to consider this. Staying in a place isn't worth becoming unemployed and/or homeless.

  • @elind85 I totally agree with you. It really needs to be part of your thought and decision process while moving into the direction of transition. See you soon ;>)

  • I love your comment "I didn't transition to be homeless".

  • Great video, and insights into the big picture way of thinking, some of us don't realize or plan for all the pieces that go into transitioning. <3
