I just re-watched this and ....when we got our cocker spaniel "Beauregard" (Beau) he was very loud and a biter and destroyer; then we got "Molly" out Shi-Poo and she TOOK OVER and Beau went right into submission doggy-now he's calm and loving and it just amazes me! Pet store pets only need homes because people keep their business going by buying the pets. If people stopped buying them, eventually they wouldn't have pets to sell. There is no question at all that buying from a pet store just perpetuates the problem and solves nothing. I love Buck but he is supporting animal cruelty with his dog purchases. I think that you kind of are right because those dogs do need homes too. When they do not get purchased by a certain time they do have to inhumanly kill them, by gassing them, so in a way he was saved by you. But if you want to get another doggy, please concider adoption. I volunteer at the local shelter in canada, so many dogs come in and some do not make it, and they end up getting put down. But i still love you and your show, you alaways put a smile on my face and so do your dogs. Love them!

i got my shih-tzu, Scotty when i was 5. A silky terrier, Terri when i was 11? They eventually got along. A pitbull/rottweiler , Daisy when i was 14 who Terri just CANNOT get along with but since Daisy is an outside dog, its fine. Then this year i got a Fox Terrier, Mia that is playful and young. Problem: One hyperactive dog, 2 senior dogs who do NOT want to play. and a big dog that im afraid might be too rough for the poor pup to handle yet. Any advice?

@aneejah i've only seen puppies and kittens at pet stores and the glassed rooms are pretty big with everything they need, so the puppies and kittens stay in the store. Also these little guys are old enough to be away from their mom but not old enough to be completely vaccinated or to go outside. So I don't think that's a lot of work

People get upset when others buy their pets at a store, because it supports the use of puppy mills, which are horrible places that promote cruel treatment of animals and improper breeding of "pure bred" dogs. This often leads to heath and behavior problems for these pets, which is why people get so passionate about it. I would never judge anyone over where they got their pet, although it would be nice if everyone adopted from a rescue or shelter. Just love, spoil and enjoy the pets you have!

I live in Puerto Rico and unfortunately there are a lot of abandoned dogs here :( I have 4 dogs at home, which have all been either given to our family and we rescued one from the street :) There is a wonderful organization called 'Save a Sato' in which people from the USA save our stray dogs or "satos" (what we call them in PR). i grew up with two pure breds and loved them more than anything in the world, they were my brother and sister. having them made me realize how much i care about animals and obviously if i could i would rescue every abandoned dog in the world. and when i do get my own dog i think i will definitely rescue one, but i was too young to make that decision and i dont look down on my parents for not rescuing. all dogs need love no matter where they come from! no one should send hate comments!

@grcespinoza - I don't know what a glaucoma is.. but I do know that a dog can be blind and live a happy life because they have other "super" developed sense that we don't so humans live in a visual world, dogs not so much don't worry about that.

About the pain you should take the dog into the vet and find a proceeder to remove it's eyes, something to relief the pain, or anything like that actually..

But killing your dog should be your last resource
